Premiering tonight is the Starz limited series Howards End developed by Kenneth Lonergan and starring Hayley Atwell, Matthew Macfadyen, Julia Ormond, Philippa Coulthard, Joseph Quinn, Rosalind Eleazar, Tracey Ullman and Alex Lawther. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Nico Muhly (The Reader, Kill Your Darlings, Margaret, Joshua). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also premiering tonight is the new BBC America original series Killing Eve created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Analyze That, Haywire, Out of Sight) is composing the show’s original music. Alex Heffes has composed the original score for the first couple of episodes of the new ITV drama Next of Kin. The show is created by Paul Rutman (Indian Summers, Vera) & Natasha Narayan and stars Archie Panjabi and Jack Davenport. The 6-part series follows a Mona, a whip-smart GP who lives in London with a political lobbyist husband. Their family life is shattered when Mona’s brother is brutally murdered while working for a medical charity abroad. Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) has directed the first three episodes. 
Alex Heffes has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Pickpockets (Carteristas). The movie marks director Peter Webber’s first Spanish-language feature and stars Carlos Bardem, Emiliano Pernia, Marcela Mar, Natalia Reyes and Duban Prado. The movie is set in the capital of Bogota and revolves around 16-year old street urchin who, together with two pals, learns the art of pickpocketing from a master in the sleight of hand. Gael Nouaille (Return to Ithaca) is producing the project for Full House. 
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi thriller Blade Runner 2049 directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight) and Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Hidden Figures). Epic and ASG Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as songs by Lauren Daigle, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. 
Also opening wide is the drama The Mountain Between Us directed by Hany Abu-Assad and starring Kate Winslet, Idris Elba, Beau Bridges and Dermot Mulroney. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, Pacific Rim) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
