La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1997 crime drama Night Falls on Manhattan directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Andy García, Richard Dreyfuss, Lena Olin, Ian Holm, James Gandolfini and Ron Leibman. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash,Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, Miracle, Judas and the Black Messiah, Dolphin Tale, 42). Also included is the composer’s score from Brian Robbin’s 1999 coming-of-age dramedy Varsity Blues (recently announced to be released on vinyl by Enjoy the Ride Records). The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.

Enjoy the Ride Records has announced the world premiere score release for the 1999 coming-of-age sports comedy drama Varsity Blues directed by Brian Robbins and starring James Van Der Beek, Jon Voight, Paul Walker, Amy Smart, Ali Larter, Scott Caan and Ron Lester. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It,Once Upon a Time, Miracle, Judas and the Black Messiah, 42, The Accountant), as well as several unused and alternate cues. The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition colored vinyl (pressed at 45 RPM) on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more about the soundtrack. Hollywood Records has previously released the original 1999 soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie on CD.

‘Timecop’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album to Be Released
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1994 sci-fi thriller Timecop directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ron Silver and Mia Sara. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Blade, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, Godfather of Harlem, 42, Nell, The Black Dahlia), as well as two unused tracks. The Deluxe Edition soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on July 10 and is now available for pre-order in both versions on Amazon. Mark Isham Scoring Netflix’s ‘Miracle: The Boys of ’80’
Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, Blade, The Accountant, 42, Nell, Godfather of Harlem, The Black Dahlia) has provided the original score for the new Netflix original documentary Miracle: The Boys of ’80. The film is directed by Max Gershberg (Court of Gold) & Jake Rogal (The Last Dance) and tells the story of the “Miracle on Ice,” when the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team beat the USSR in the Olympic semi-finals at the height of the Cold War to bring home a gold medal. The movie features never-before-seen 16mm footage and firsthand reflections from the players who were brought back to the scene of their historic victory.

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama Soul on Fire. Yang and Peter Dinklage. Christopher Bear (of the rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Adults, Mother, Couch, Swallowed, The Passenger) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album will be released by Varese Sarabande according to the movie’s end credits, but no details have been announced yet. The film is directed by Sean McNamara (Soul Surfer, Reagan) and stars Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Szostak, DeVon Franklin, Masey McLain and William H. Macy. The movie is inspired by the true story and 2016 bestselling book On Fire by John O’Leary whose story begins with his miraculous recovery from a near death accident at age 9 and – given no chance of survival – endures a road to recovery with the support of his family, faith, community and the kindness of his all-time idol, Baseball Hall of Fame Announcer Jack Buck.
‘Blade’ Deluxe Edition Score Album to Be Released
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1998 superhero movie Blade directed by Stephen Norrington and starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, Donal Logue and N’Bushe Wright. The Deluxe Edition soundtrack features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Miracle, Once Upon a Time, 42, The Accountant, The Black Dahlia, Nell), including around 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 15 (click here to stream/download). A CD version will also be available to order on the label’s official website tomorrow.
