Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 British drama The Browning Version directed by Mike Figgis, produced by Ridley Scott and starring Albert Finney, Greta Scacchi, Matthew Modine, Michael Gambon, Julian Sands, Ben Silverstone, Oliver Milburn and Jim Sturgess. The album features the expanded and newly remastered original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, 42, The Black Dahlia, Nell), including previously unreleased music. The CD, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, is limited to 1,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.

Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, A River Runs Through It, 42, Judas and the Black Messiah, The Accountant) is scoring the upcoming MGM+ original series Hotel Cocaine. The show is created by Chris Brancato (Narcos, Hannibal) and stars Danny Pino, Don Mike, Pedro Giunti, Lola Claire, Matthew Del Negro, Victor Oliveira, Robert Beck, Sam Robards and Candy Santana. The 8-part crime thriller tells the story of Roman Compte, Cuban exile and general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of the late ’70s and early ’80s.

The show is developed by Dave Andron (Snowfall) & Michael Dinner (Mayans M.C., Sneaky Pete) based on Elmore Leonard’s novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit and stars Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis and Boyd Holbrook. The sequel to the Steve Porcaro-scored original Justified series (which aired between 2010 and 2015) follows Raylan Givens as he has left the hollers of Kentucky and is balancing life as a U.S. Marshal with being a part-time father, when he returns to Detroit on a collision course with a violent sociopath and a formidable defense attorney.
‘Shooting Stars’ Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the biographical sports drama Shooting Stars. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, 42, The Accountant, Warrior). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 2 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Shooting Stars is directed by Chris Robinson and stars Marquis “Mookie” Cook, Caleb McLaughlin, Dermot Mulroney, Khalil Everage, Avery S. Wills and Sterling “Scoot” Henderson. The movie tells the origin story of LeBron James, revealing how the basketball hero and his childhood friends become the top high school team in the country, launching his career as a four-time NBA Champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
