Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Sarah’s Oil. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kathryn Bostic (Clemency, Women of the Movement, The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat, Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am, Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go for It). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 3 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track below. The label has previously released the original song The Gift co-written and performed by Tamar Braxton last month. Sarah’s Oil is co-written and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and stars Zachary Levi, Naya Desir-Johnson, Sonequa Martin-Green, Garret Dillahunt, Mel Rodriguez, Bridget Regan and Kenric Green. The movie tells the story of an African American girl born in the early 1900s who believes there is oil beneath the land she’s allotted and must turn to her family and some wildcatters to maintain control of her land.

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kathryn Bostic (Clemency, Rita Moreno: Just a Girl Who Decided to Go for It, Women of the Movement, Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am, Holiday Rush). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 23 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The Searchlight Pictures production is based on Edward Kelsey Moore’s best-selling novel of the same name and follows a trio of best friends who see their bond put to the test as illness and heartbreak stir up the past and threaten to destroy their friendship.

The animated comedy follows a New York City “it”whose life comes crashing down around her, when she receives a mysterious gift from her father that gives her a new lease on life.

Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) has contributed the main title theme. The adventure drama, which follows Phileas Fogg as he sets out on a quest to travel around the world, premiered in the UK last week on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.
