Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for John Woo’s reimagining of his 1989 Hong Kong action classic The Killer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari, The Wolverine). Also included is the original song Introuvable co-written (with Beltrami, Giampiero Ambrosi, Eloi Painchaud & Buck Sanders) and performed by Jorane and actress Diana Silvers’s rendition of Let’s Live for Today. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 23. The movie centers on a mysterious and infamous assassin who – during an assignment from her shadowy mentor – refuses to kill a blinded young woman in a Paris nightclub and gets plunged into a sinister criminal conspiracy that will set her on a collision course with her own past.

This past week, Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine) has been recording his score for the upcoming action thriller The Killer. The film is directed by John Woo (Face/Off, Mission: Impossible 2) and stars Omar Sy, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sam Worthington, Saïd Taghmaoui and Diana Silvers. The movie is being described as a reimagining of Woo’s Hong Kong 1989 classic of the same title. No plot details have been revealed yet.

The Null Corporation will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film The Killer. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Gone Girl, Mank, Watchmen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend while also premiering on Peacock today is the horror movie Five Nights at Freddy’s directed by Emma Tammi and starring Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling and Piper Rubio. The film’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher, Doctor Sleep, The Forever Purge, Midnight Mass). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today.
