Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish Netflix original film The Marked Woman (La Desconocida). The album features the movie’s original music composed by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Crimson Peak, Hercules, The Orphanage, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Deep Water, Devil). The Marked Woman is directed by Gabe Ibáñez and stars Candela Peña, Ana Rujas, Pol López, Manolo Solo, Kira Miró, David Vert, Sebastián Haro, Yolanda Sey, Carlos Troya and Marc Soler. The thriller is based on the novel of the same title by Rosa Montero & Olivier Truc and follows two detectives trying to figure out the identity of a woman who is found in a shipping container with no memory of who she is.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2 directed by David Frankel and starring Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley and B.J. Fernando Velazquez Scoring Renny Harlin’s ‘Deep Water’
Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, The Orphanage, Crimson Peak, Hercules, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Devil) has composed the original music for the upcoming shark thriller Deep Water. The film is directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) and stars Aaron Eckhart, Angus Sampson, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Barrett and Molly Belle Wright. The movie follows a group of international passengers en route from Los Angeles to Shanghai who are forced to make an emergency landing and soon discover they’re not alone and they must survive the shark infested waters.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the gothic romance Dracula written and directed by Luc Besson and starring Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Haymon Maria Buttinger and Zoë Bleu Sidel. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Men in Black, Alice in Wonderland). The Dead Girls is co-written and directed by Luis Estrada and stars Paulina Gaitán, Arcelia Ramírez, Joaquín Cosío, Mauricio Isaac, Alfonso Herrera, Enrique Arreola, Leticia Huijara, Fernando Bonilla, Carlos Aragón and Kristyan Ferrer. The drama is based on Jorge Ibargüengoitia’s novel and tells how the Baladro sisters built a brothel empire and became merciless killers in 1960s Mexico.
Fernando Velázquez Scoring Caroline Origer’s ‘Spiked’
Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Hercules, The Orphanage, Crimson Peak, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Devil) is scoring the upcoming animated feature Spiked. The film is directed by Caroline Origer (My Fairy Troublemaker) and features the voices of Matthew Goode, Kila Lord Cassidy, Charlie Reid, Teresa Gallagher, Rasmus Hardiker, Jushua Rubin and Swampy. The movie tells the story of young, courageous hedgehog sheltered by her overprotective father and an overworked, exhausted rabbit with a few dozen kids of his own who crash into each other’s lives.

Invisible is based on the novel of the same name by Eloy Moreno and stars Eric Seijo, Aura Garrido, Diego Montejo, Liv Dobner, Miki Esparbé and Izan Fernández. The fantasy drama tells the story of a 12-year old boy who has suffered a terrible accident that has left him with severe post-traumatic stress disorder, when he finds out that has has gained the power of invisibility and his terrible nightmares that haunt him every night are linked to the monsters and the dragon that haunt him.

The 8-part thriller is based on Mikel Santiago’s best-selling novel of the same name and follows a tormented pianist who is struck by lightning and begins having perilous visions of his future and a deadly threat seems to loom over his loved ones.

Premiering on Wednesday, October 23, is the HBO original documentary series Breath of Fire directed by Hayley Pappas & Smiley Stevens about millennial Guru Jagat and his evolution while chronicling the shocking secret history of Kundalini through its origins in the 1960s to its expansion in the U.S. and its presence in wellness circles today. The show’s original music is composed by Sarah Lipstate (aka Noveller) who has made her scoring debut on the project. ‘Buffalo Kids’ Soundtrack Album Details
Quartet Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature Buffalo Kids. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, The Orphanage, Mama, Hercules, Crimson Peak, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Devil). A CD version of the soundtrack is now available to order on Amazon and the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. A digital version is expected to be released in the coming days by Atresmedia Música (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Buffalo Kids is directed by Juan Jesús Galocha & Pedro Solís and features the voices of Alisha Weir, Stephen Graham, Gemma Arterton and Sean Bean (in its English language version). The movie tells the story of two parentless Irish siblings who arrive in New York City via ocean liner in 1886 and quickly find themselves on a journey aboard a transcontinental “Orphan Train” where they meet an extraordinary new friend who will change their lives forever.
