Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2 directed by David Frankel and starring Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley and B.J. Novak. The film’s original score is composed by Theodore Shapiro (Severance, Ghostbusters, The Housemaid, Tropic Thunder, Bombshell, Spy, A Simple Favor, Dodgeball). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music today and Interscope Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, including Lady Gaga’s & Doechii’s Runway, on the same day. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie Hokum written and directed by Damian McCarthy and starring Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, Florence Ordesh, David Wilmot, Will O’Connell and Michael Patri. Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Malignant, The Curse of La Llorona, Annabelle, Dark Skies, Tarot, The Unholy) has composed the film’s original music. Void Recordings has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
