Weekly Film Music Roundup (February 6, 2026)

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the gothic romance Dracula written and directed by Luc Besson and starring Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Haymon Maria Buttinger and Zoë Bleu Sidel. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Men in Black, Alice in Wonderland). Because Music & EuropaCorp have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last summer when the movie opened overseas (under the title Dracula: A Love Story). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy drama Solo Mio directed by Charles & Daniel Kinnane and starring Kevin James, Kim Coates, Julee Cerda, Alyson Hannigan, Jonathan Roumie and Julie Ann Emery. Joy Ngiaw (WondLa, Blush, Rescued by Ruby, Glamorous,Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase) has composed the film’s original music. Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘My Father’s Shadow’ Soundtrack Album Details

Carrying Colour will release a soundtrack album for the British/Nigerian drama My Father’s Shadow. The album features the film’s original music composed by Duval Timothy and CJ Mirra (A Banquet, HI-Surf, Nascondino, Make or Break, Kidnapped). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 6 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Journey to Lagos) is already available to stream/download as a digital single now. My Father’s Shadow is co-written and directed by Akinola Davies Jr. and stars Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Godwin Egbo and Chibuike Marvellous Egbo. The movie, which was selected as UK’s submission in the International Feature category, for this year’s Academy Awards, is framed by the political landscape of 1993 Lagos and follows a father and his two young sons as they journey into the Nigerian metropolis, quietly reckoning with their relationship while navigating a city on the precipice of democratic crisis.

The show’s original music is composed by Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Moon, The Fountain, Noah, The Wrestler, Peacemaker, Loving Vincent, Doom Patrol). Premiering on Wednesday, August 27, is the Prime Video original series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf created by Jack Carr & David DiGilio and starring Chris Pratt, Taylor Kitsch, Luke Hemsworth, Tom Hopper, Dar Salim, Shiraz Tzarfati, Rona-Lee Shimon, Robert Wisdom and Jared Shaw. Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, The Decameron, The Old Guard 2, Victoria, Harry Brown, Collateral, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Sanditon) who previously scored the original The Terminal List series has composed the show’s original music. Premiering tonight is the new CBS drama Matlock developed by Jennie Snyder Urman inspired by the classic 80s/90s series of the same name and starring Kathy Bates, Skye P. Marshall, Jason Ritter, Leah Lewis and David Del Rio. The show’s original music is composed by Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Wrestlers, Twisted Metal, Fright Krewe, Obliterated, Good Sam, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Florida Man). Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Make or Break’ Released

Lakeshore Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original documentary series Make or Break. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by CJ Mirra (A Banquet, Nascondino). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Make or Break is executive produced by James Gay-Rees, Paul Martin, Erik Logan & Ryan Holcomb and offers behind-the-scenes access into the aspirations, accomplishments, challenges and personal lives of the surfers who compete to remain on the elite 2021 Men’s and Women’s World Title at the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT).

The film’s original music is composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Eternals, Iron Man, Westworld, Pacific Rim, A Wrinkle in Time, Clash of the Titans, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Great Wall, Warcraft). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the comedy drama Dog directed by Reid Carolin & Channing Tatum and starring Tatum himself, Jane Adams, Kevin Nash, Q’orianka Kilcher, Ethan Suplee, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Luke Forbes, Nicole LaLiberté and Ronnie Gene Blevins. Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Finding Nemo, 1917, The Shawshank Redemption, Skyfall, Road to Perdition) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album is expected. ‘A Banquet’ Soundtrack Album Announced

First Artists Recordings (FAR) and Burning Witches Records will a soundtrack album for the British horror movie A Banquet. The album features the film’s original music written by composer, sound designer and recording artist CJ Mirra. The soundtrack is set to be released on March 11, 2022 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. A limited edition vinyl edition is now available for pre-order on Burning Witches’ official website. A first track is now already available on all major digital music platforms. Listen to the full track after the jump. A Banquet is directed by Ruth Paxton and stars Sienna Guillory, Jessica Alexander, Ruby Stokes and Lindsay Duncan. The Hanway Films production revolves around a mother who is radically tested when her teenage daughter insists a supernatural experience has left her body in service to a higher power.
