The details of the score album for the crime thriller By Any Means have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee and Grammy Award winner Terence Blanchard (Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman, The Woman King, 25th Hour, Inside Man, Perry Mason, Love & Basketball, Da 5 Bloods, Red Tails). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 11 by Lakeshore Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. AB Records has previously released the original title song written by Diane Warren and performed by David Kushner & The Isley Brothers as a digital single last month and will release a full soundtrack album featuring songs from and inspired by the movie next Friday, September 18. The film is directed by Elegance Bratton (The Inspection) and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Mark Wahlberg, Nicole Beharie, Josh Lucas, LisaGay Hamilton, Ethan Embry, LaChanze, David Strathairn and Giancarlo Esposito. The movie, which also features an original title song written by Diane Warren, is inspired by a true story and follows a young Black FBI agent who is sent into 1960s Mississippi to investigate a wave of brutal killings targeting civil rights leaders and finds himself pulled into a deadly hunt where justice and vengeance begin to blur.

The show is directed by Geeta Gandbhir (Episode 1), Samantha Knowles (Episode 2) & Spike Lee (Episode 3) and centers on a group of Hurricane Katrina survivors as they reflect on the disastrous storm in 2005 that forever changed their lives and the systemic inequities it exposed. The 3-parter features first-person accounts and never before seen archival footage that illustrate the magnitude of Katrina and the aftermath of the levees breaking and the bungled recovery.

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Walt Disney World and Disneyland attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Terence Blanchard to Return for National Geographic’s ‘Genius: MLK/X’
Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, 25th Hour, The Woman King, Perry Mason, Inside Man, Da 5 Bloods, Red Tails) is returning to score the fourth season of the National Geographic original anthology series Genius. The new season, entitled Genius: MLK/X stars Kelvin Harrison Jr. & Aaron Pierre in the title roles, alongside Weruche Opia, Jayme Lawson and Ron Cephas. The drama focuses on two iconic geniuses – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X – and explores how their dueling philosophies helped usher America through the Civil Rights Movement.
