Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the gothic romance Dracula written and directed by Luc Besson and starring Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Haymon Maria Buttinger and Zoë Bleu Sidel. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Men in Black, Alice in Wonderland). Because Music & EuropaCorp have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last summer when the movie opened overseas (under the title Dracula: A Love Story). Also opening wide is the romantic comedy drama Solo Mio directed by Charles & Daniel Kinnane and starring Kevin James, Kim Coates, Julee Cerda, Alyson Hannigan, Jonathan Roumie and Julie Ann Emery. Joy Ngiaw (WondLa, Blush, Rescued by Ruby, Glamorous,Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The Strangers: Chapter 2’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Justin Caine Burnett (Dungeons & Dragons, Getaway, After, An American Haunting, 9-1-1: Lone Star & Nashville, Java Heat) will a soundtrack album for the slasher sequel The Strangers: Chapter 2. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally tomorrow, October 11. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack and also listen to the composer’s first track (Prey) below. The Strangers: Chapter 2 is directed by Renny Harlin and stars Madelaine Petsch, Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath. The second part of the trilogy follows the sole survivor of The Strangers’ murdering spree of the previous night as she tries to survive the continued attack from the masked killers while reckoning with the ways that these events are transforming her into someone else.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British miniseries Brian and Maggie written by James Graham, directed by Stephen Frears and starring Steve Coogan, Harriet Walter, Paul Clayton, Tom Mothersdale and Ivan Kaye. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Dead Ringers, A Very English Scandal, Moonflower Murders, It’s a Sin, Quiz). The 2-parter, which follows politician-turned-journalist Brian Walden and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as they sit for one of the most famous political exchanges of all time in 1989, premiered in the UK this past January on Channel 4 and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of Masterpiece.

Also premiering tonight is the PBS Masterpiece series Maigret developed by Patrick Harbinson based on Georges Simenon’s bestselling novels and starring Benjamin Wainwright, Stefanie Martini, Blake Harrison, Kerrie Hayes, Reda Elazouar, Shaniqua Okwok, Rob Kazinsky and Nathalie Armin. Uele Lamore (The Balconettes, The Apology, Above Water) has composed the show’s original music. The crime drama, which follows the Chief Inspecto and his team of maverick but loyal detectives as they solve a series of complex crimes in Paris, will air in the U.S. every Sunday night on PBS.

Justin Burnett (9-1-1: Lone Star, Java Heat, Unit 13) is the composer of the upcoming horror trilogy The Strangers. The feature films series based on Bryan Bertino’s 2008 movie of the same title is directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) and stars Madelaine Petsch, Froy Gutierrez, Rachel Shenton, Gabriel Basso, Richard Brake, Ema Horvath and Ella Bruccoleri. The first installment follows a young couple who are forced to spend the night in a remote cabin in an eerie small town after their car breaks down, when they they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive.

A soundtrack album will be released for the romantic drama After We Collided. The album features the film’s original score composed by Justin Burnett (Dungeons & Dragons, An American Haunting, 9-1-1: Lone Star, Getaway, Re-Kill) who previously scored last year’s first After installment. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 18 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. After We Collided is directed by Roger Kumble and stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Josephine Langford, Dylan Sprouse, Selma Blair, Charlie Weber and Candice King. The movie is based on the YA romance novel by Anna Todd and follows Tessa’s intense breakup and its aftermath.

Opening in select theaters is the sci-fi thriller Synchronic directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead and starring Anthony Mackie, Jamie Dornan and Katie Aselton. Justin Burnett is returning as the composer for the upcoming romantic drama After We Collided, the sequel to last year’s After. The film is directed by Roger Kumble (Cruel Intentions, The Sweetest Thing) and stars Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Dylan Sprouse, Charlie Weber, Candice King, Karimah Westbrook, Rob Estes, Shane Paul McGhie, Samuel Larsen, Dylan Arnold and Khadijha Red. The movie is based on the YA romance novel by Anna Todd who also wrote the sequel’s screenplay with Mario Celaya. Todd is also producing the Voltage Pictures production with Jennifer Gibgot (Tangled, Step Up), Mark Canton (300, Immortals), Courtney Solomon (Cake, Mr. Church), Nicholas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Colossal) and Brian Pitt.
