Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Spider-Man 3, Sinister, Drag Me to Hell, The Hurricane, Ghost Rider, The Shipping News, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) is attached to score the upcoming feature adaptation of the indie horror novel Haunting Skies. The film is directed by the book’s author Christian Kang Bachini and will star Natasha Halevi and Emily Ashby. The movie imagines an Earth already conquered by alien invaders who abduct the remaining survivors for grotesque experiments, including a young girl possessed by Satan, and follows the last surviving exorcist as he devises a plan to get her aboard the alien mothership and make a deal with the Devil to turn Hell against the invaders.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Lucasfilm’s Star Wars movie The Mandalorian and Grogu co-written and directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, Brendan Wayne, Lateef Crowder and Martin Scorsese The film’s original music is composed by Ludwig Göransson (Sinners, Oppenheimer, Black Panther, Creed, Turning Red, Venom, Tenet, Community). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally last Friday and will release physical versions in the coming weeks. Lakeshore Records & Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror movie Passenger. The album features music from and inspired by the film composed by Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Spider-Man 3, Sinister, Drag Me to Hell, The Shipping News, Ghost Rider, The Hurricane, The Exorcism of Emily Rose). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The film is directed by André Øvredal (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and stars Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell and Melissa Leo. The movie revolves around a young couple who witness a horrific accident that leaves the driver dead and are soon being pursued by a demonic stalker who’s impossible to outrun.

The Jerry Fielding Collection: Volume 1 includes the premiere release of the composer’s score from 1974’s Honky Tonk directed by Don Taylor, written by Douglas Heyes and starring Richard Crenna & John Dehner, as well as remastered versions of his music from 1971’s Johnny Got His Gun written and directed by Dalton Trumbo and staring Timothy Bottoms, Kathy Field & Marsha Hunt, George Schaefer’s 1972 drama A War of Children starring Vivien Merchant, Jenny Agutter & John Ronane and the 1979 mini-series Mr. Horn directed by Jack Starrett, written by William Goldman and starring David Carradine, Richard Widmark & Karen Black.
Christopher Young’s ‘Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror’ Score Album Details
Warner Classics will release the recording of a new score for F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent movie classic Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (Nosferatu: Eine Symphonie des Grauens). In February 2023, the film was screened in Zurich with a new 90-minute score by composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Spider-Man 3, Drag Me to Hell, Ghost Rider, Sinister, The Shipping News, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Hurricane) whose name is closely linked with the horror genre. The recording of this new score was made with Frank Strobel, conductor, Saya Hashino, organ and Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and will released digitally and physically on November 29. Expanded ‘Species’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi horror thriller Species directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Natasha Henstridge, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Forest Whitaker, Alfred Molina and Marg Helgenberger. The 2-CD set features the original music from the film composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Drag Me to Hell, The Shipping News, Ghost Rider, Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Hurricane) and conducted by Pete Anthony, including the complete original score (including previously unreleased music) in chronological order on the first disc, as well the content of the label’s world premiere soundtrack album for the title (released back in 2008) on the second disc. ‘The Piper’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller The Piper. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Sinister, Spider-Man 3, The Hurricane, Drag Me to Hell, Ghost Rider, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Shipping News) and performed by the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 16 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). A CD version will be available to order on the label’s official website later today. The Piper is written and directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen and stars Charlotte Hope, Julian Sands, Aoibhe O’Flanagan and Oliver Savell. The movie follows a composer who must finish her late mentor’s concerto, when she discovers that playing its music summons deadly consequences.

Paramount Music has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1992 thriller Jennifer 8 written and directed by Bruce Robinson and starring Andy Garcia, Uma Thurman, Lance Henriksen, Kathy Baker and John Malkovich. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Entrapment, Drag Me to Hell, The Hurricane, Sinister, The Shipping News).
