Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Lucasfilm’s Star Wars movie The Mandalorian and Grogu co-written and directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, Brendan Wayne, Lateef Crowder and Martin Scorsese The film’s original music is composed by Ludwig Göransson (Sinners, Oppenheimer, Black Panther, Creed, Turning Red, Venom, Tenet, Community). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally last Friday and will release physical versions in the coming weeks. Also opening nationwide is the supernatural horror thriller Passenger directed by André Øvredal and starring Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell and Melissa Leo. Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Sinister, The Shipping News, Ghost Rider, The Hurricane, Drag Me to Hell, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Gift) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records & Paramount Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today and Intrada Records will release a CD version next month. Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Forbidden Fruits, Werewolves Within, Time Cut, Sting) is set to score the upcoming comedic thriller Jacob and the Wolf. The film is written and directed by Josh Monkarsh (As We Know It) and stars Sam Lerner, Camille Hyde, Nikola Djuricko, Richard Kind, Bronson Pinchot, Oliver Cooper, Louis Lombardi, Pete Gardner,Timothy Hornor and Chris Webster. The movie follows a young couple who inherit a seemingly ideal home, but soon learn of its Nazi-affiliated dark past, leading to deadly consequences as their beliefs are questioned.

Waxwork Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Forbidden Fruits. The album features the film’s original score composed by Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Time Cut, Werewolves Within, Sting). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 20 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. A vinyl edition is also expected. Forbidden Fruits is co-written and directed by Meredith Alloway and stars Lili Reinhart, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Lola Tung, Gabrielle Union and Emma Chamberlain. Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the German Netflix original film Brick. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves Within, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Sting, Time Cut) and Martina Eisenreich & Michael Kadelbach (The Next Level, One Trillion Dollars). The soundtrack be released digitally tomorrow, July 11. Brick is written and directed by Philip Koch and stars Matthias Schweighöfer, Ruby O. Fee, Frederick Lau, Sira-Anna Faal, Murathan Muslu, Salber Lee Williams, Alexander Beyer and Axel Werner. The sci-fi thriller follows a man and a woman who awake trapped in their apartment behind a mysterious impenetrable, futuristic wall which has materialized overnight and must unite with their wary neighbors to get out alive.

Premiering on Thursday, July 10, is the Disney Channel original movie Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires directed by Paul Hoen and starring Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Freya Skye, Kylee Russell, Malachi Barton, Chandler Kinney, Swayam Bhatia, Julian Lerner, Mekonnen Knife, Lisa Chappell and Jonno Roberts. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Dog Man, Knuckles, Daisy Jones & the Six, Shrinking, Early Man). Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the sequel and a score suite on Thursday. Also premiering on Thursday is the Netflix original anime series Leviathan based on Scott Westerfeld’s novels and starring Ayumu Murase, Natsumi Fujiwara, Shunsuke Sakuya, Mie Sonozaki, Yasuhiro Mamiya, Ivan Shibata and Fairouz Ai. Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Metal Gear Solid 4) have composed the show’s original score. Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, The Boy and the Heron) has written the project’s original songs. A soundtrack album will be announced soon. Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series The Marlow Murder Club created by Robert Thorogood based on his own novel and starring Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, Cara Horgan, Natalie Dew, Phillipa Pea and Mark Frost. The show’s original music is composed by Cora Miron. The drama, which follows a retired archaeologist who tries to solve the crime when murder strikes the quiet riverside town of Marlow and begins to uncover a series of puzzling clues and comes to rely on the help of other local women to investigate, premiered earlier this year in the UK on U & Drama and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

Premiering on Wednesday, October 30, is the Netflix original film Time Cut directed by Hannah Macpherson and starring Madison Bailey, Antonia Gentry, Griffin Gluck, Michael Shanks, Rachael Crawford, Samuel Braun, Megan Best, Jordan Pettle,  Kataem O’Connor and Sydney Sabiston.
