Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy based on R.L. Stine’s book series of the same title and directed by Leigh Janiak. The 5-CD set features the expanded original scores from all three installments, including Fear Street: Part 1 – 1994 composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream, A Quiet Place, Logan, The Hurt Locker, I, Robot, Hellboy, The Wolverine) & Marcus Trumpp (Love and Monsters, Plane, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Little Evil), Fear Street: Part 2 – 1978 composed by Beltrami & Brandon Roberts (Thanksgiving, Chaos Walking, Motherland: Fort Salem, Underwater) and Fear Street: Part 3 – 1666 composed by Beltrami, Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves Within) & Trumpp, including previously unreleased music. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the dystopian war drama Civil War written and directed by Alex Garland and starring Kirsten Dunst, Cailee Spaeny, Wagner Moura, Nick Offerman and Stephen McKinley Henderson. MovieScore Media will release the official soundtrack album for the Australian horror thriller Sting. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Werewolves Within). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The film is written and directed by Shannon Triplett and stars Kristine Froseth, Frances Fisher, Beau Bridges, D.B. Woodside, Ryan Hurst, Max Mattern, Edwin Garcia II and Ratchel Dratch. The movie follows a young woman who crashes her car and walks down the road seeking help, only to find no matter which way she walks she ends up back at her car.
Anna Drubich & Jongnic Bontemps Scoring Diego Hurtado de Mendoza’s & Lisa Cortés’ ‘The Space Race’
Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666) & Jongnic Bontemps (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, 4400, My Name Is Pauli Murray, Redfall) have teamed up to score the upcoming documentary The Space Race. The film is directed by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza (The Redeem Team) & Lisa Cortés (Little Richard: I Am Everything, All In: The Fight for Democracy) and explores the experiences of the first Black astronauts. The movie features interviews with Ed Dwight, Charles Bolden, Guion Bluford & Victor Glover and spotlights the oft-omitted racial injustice narratives and present-day realities of these pioneers.
Marco Beltrami & Anna Drubich to Score Len Wiseman’s ‘Ballerina’
Marco Beltrami (A Quiet Place, Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari, The Wolverine) has revealed during a recent interview on Film Music Live that he is teaming up with Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street 3: 1966) to score the upcoming John Wick spinoff feature Ballerina. The film is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Total Recall) and stars Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Ian McShane, as well as Keanu Reeves. The action thriller follows the titular assassin (first introduced in the third John Wick installment) trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma as she sets out to avenge her family.

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror movie Barbarian. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anna Drubich (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3 – 1966, Jane, Werewolves Within). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 9 and will be available to stream/download here. The New Regency production follows a young woman who books a rental home, when she discovers that the house is double booked upon her arrival, and – after she decides to stay there – soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than an unexpected house guest.
