MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish disaster drama The Abyss (Avrgunden). The album features the film’s original score composed by Lasse Enersen (Tom of Finland, There’s Something in the Barn, Legend of the Ancient Sword, Cold Courage, The Misfits, The Unknown Soldier). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes and most other major digital music platforms. Also check out the composer’s title track below. As previously reported, Molly Hammar has contributed the original song Deep Down, which is available separately as a digital single. The Abyss is co-written and directed by Richard Holm and stars Tuva Novotny, Peter Franzén, Kardo Razzazi, Angela Kovacs, Felicia Maxime Truedsson and Tintin Poggats Sarri.

The show’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, Watchmen, John Wick, 300, X, Primal, Killer Joe, The Punisher). Premiering tomorrow, February 12, is the National Geographic documentary The Space Race directed by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza & Lisa Cortés about the experiences of the first Black astronauts. Deluxe Edition Soundtracks for ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’ and James Cameron’s ‘The Abyss’ Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in the CD Club series. Among the titles is a deluxe edition for Star Trek: Nemesis, the tenth feature in the series and the final movie with the Next Generation crew, directed by Stuart Baird and starring Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Tom Hardy and Marina Sirtis. The album includes the world premiere release of the complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton) who previously scored Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact and Insurrection. Nemesis marked his final score for the franchise. The soundtrack also features source music and alternate cues.
