MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish disaster drama The Abyss (Avrgunden). The album features the film’s original score composed by Lasse Enersen (Tom of FinlandThere’s Something in the BarnLegend of the Ancient Sword, Cold CourageThe MisfitsThe Unknown Soldier). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes and most other major digital music platforms. Also check out the composer’s title track below. As previously reported, Molly Hammar has contributed the original song Deep Down, which is available separately as a digital single. The Abyss is co-written and directed by Richard Holm and stars Tuva Novotny, Peter Franzén, Kardo Razzazi, Angela Kovacs, Felicia Maxime Truedsson and Tintin Poggats Sarri. The movie follows a woman who tries to balance her risky job as a security manager at the world’s largest underground mine with her family life as she has to fight for her life and the lives of her loved ones when her city starts collapsing into the mine. The drama opened in Swedish theaters last September and is made its international debut last week on Netflix.
