The film is written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Rebel Ridge) and stars Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, James Badge Dale, Stephen Root, Stanley Simons, Chris Sullivan, Young Mazino, Matty Matheson, Imogen Poots and Macon Blair. The movie follows a “scare-actor” who wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there and – as a state-wide manhunt closes in – races to uncover the truth.

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (Soul, Watchmen, Challengers, Bones and All, TRON: Ares, Queer) are reteaming with director David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club) on the upcoming Netflix original film The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The movie is directed by Fincher, written by Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards) based on characters from his 2019 feature Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and stars Brad Pitt who reprises his role as Cliff Booth, for which he received his second Academy Award. Vinyl Edition of ‘Queer’ Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records has announced the premiere vinyl edition of the soundtrack album for Luca Guadagnino’s Queer based on W.S. Burroughs’ novella and starring Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Lesley Manville, Henrique Zaga, Omar Apollo and Jason Schwartzman. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Challengers, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Soul, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank), as well as the original end credits song Vaster Than Empires inspired by Burroughs’ final diary entry and performed by Caetano Veloso & Reznor, is pressed on 180-gram translucent cobalt vinyl and includes bespoke printed inner sleeves and a gatefold jacket featuring collage artwork. The soundtrack is set to be released on December 12, 2025 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Also opening nationwide this weekend is the crime comedy drama Roofman directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang and Peter Dinklage. Christopher Bear (of the rock band Grizzly Bear) (Past Lives, High Maintenance, Adults, Mother, Couch, Swallowed, The Passenger) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album will be released by Varese Sarabande according to the movie’s end credits, but no details have been announced yet. Nonesuch Records will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological drama After the Hunt. The album features selections of the film’s original score written, arranged, produced, performed, programmed and mixed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Challengers, Watchmen, Bones and All, Queer), as well as multiple recordings by composer John Adams. Also included is a selection of songs featured in the movie by Tony Bennett & Bill Evans, The National, Everything but the Girl, among others. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Watchmen, Challengers, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) have joined Russell Allen as executive producers on the sci-fi sequel TRON: Ares. The composers also scored the film (as Nine Inch Nails) directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Gillian Anderson, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan and Jeff Bridges. Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, F1) who helmed 2010’s Tron: Legacy is also being credited as an executive producer. The album features the film’s original music composed by the Grammy Award-winning rock band Nine Inch Nails. The release marks the first-ever film score by the pioneering band, although bandmates Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross have previously scored numerous projects, including The Social Network, Soul, Challengers & Watchmen. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD and vinyl edition is also being released on the same day and will be available to order here within the next few days. ‘Future Ruins’ Music Festival Announced
Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Challengers) have announced Future Ruins, a day-long event where the world’s most influential film and television composers step out from behind the screen and onto the stage. The musical festival will be set across three stages at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center this November and is designed to feel thoughtful and immersive, bringing this music to light in an environment where it has never been heard before. Ranging from electronic sets and live bands to orchestral performances, the audience will have the chance to experience live debuts from composers who rarely appear onstage.
Atticus Ross to Be Honored as a BMI Icon at 41st Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards
BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) announced today that Atticus Ross will be honored as a BMI Icon at the 41st Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards on May 14 in Beverly Hills, CA. The Academy Award- & Grammy Award- winning composer will be receiving this honor for his outstanding body of work across film and television. Ross is best known for his collaborations with Trent Reznor and their scores on such features as The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Challengers, Gone Girl, Soul, Mank, Bones & All, Waves, Empire of Light & Queer and the TV shows Watchmen (for which they received an Emmy Award) and the Vietnam War. Alongside his brother Leopold Ross and wife Claudia Sarne, he has also composed the scores for the movies The Book of Eli and Triple 9, an episode of Black Mirror, the docuseries Dear Mama, among other projects.
