Mark Isham (Crash, Miracle, A River Runs Through It, 42, Once Upon a TimeJudas and the Black Messiah, The Accountant) is the composer of the upcoming MGM+ original series The Westies. The show is created by Chris Brancato (Hannibal, Narcos) & Michael Panes and stars J.K. Simmons, Titus Welliver. Tom Brittney, Sarah Bolger, Stanley Morgan, Jessica Frances Dukes, Allen Leech, Hilary Mccormack and Hamish Allan-Headly The crime drama is set in the early 1980s when the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the titular infamously violent Irish gang’s home turf in Hell’s Kitchen promises a financial windfall. Brancato & Panes are also executive producing the project. Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Terminator: Genisys) directed the first two episode. Isham has previously collaborated with Brancato on MGM+’s The Godfather of Harlem and Hotel Cocaine. The Westies will premiere on July 12, 2026 exclusively on MGM+.
