La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1997 crime drama Night Falls on Manhattan directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Andy García, Richard Dreyfuss, Lena Olin, Ian Holm, James Gandolfini and Ron Leibman. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash,Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, Miracle, Judas and the Black Messiah, Dolphin Tale, 42). Also included is the composer’s score from Brian Robbin’s 1999 coming-of-age dramedy Varsity Blues (recently announced to be released on vinyl by Enjoy the Ride Records). The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.

Premiere CD Release Announced for ‘Prince of the City’ & ‘The Twelve Chairs’ Soundtracks
Quartet Records has announced the premiere CD release of the soundtrack album for the 1981 crime drama Prince of the City co-written and directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Treat Williams, Jerry Orbach, Lindsay Crouse, Richard Foronjy and Bob Balaban. The limited edition album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Chihara (Death Race 2000, China Beach, The Bad News Bears Go to China, Romance and Cigarettes). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full album details. Varese Sarabande & TER Records have previously released a vinyl edition of the album in 1981 and a digital version is available from JAY Records.
World Premiere Release of Paul Chihara’s ‘The Morning After’ Score Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring six previously unreleased scores composed by Paul Chihara (China Beach, Death Race 2000, The Bad News Bears Go to China). The album features four tracks from the composer’s music from the 1986 psychological thriller The Morning After directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Jane Fonda, Jeff Bridges and Raul Julia. Other titles included on the release are John Korty’s 1986 television movie Resting Place, Graham Baker’s 1984 sci-fi thriller Impulse, Anthony Wilkinson’s 1987 TV movie The King of Love, Glen Jordan’s 1985 drama Toughlove and the 1983 CBS sci-fiction family adventure seres Whiz Kids. The Paul Chihara Collection – Volume 6 is available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website and is now also available to stream on Amazon and most other digital music services. Michael Small’s ‘First Born’ and ‘Child’s Play’ Scores Released
Intrada Records has announced a soundtrack album featuring the world premiere release of the scores for two movies from Paramount Pictures scored by composer Michael Small (Marathon Man, Klute, The Stepford Wives), including the music for the 1984 drama First Born directed by Michael Apted (Goldeneye, The Mask of Zorro) and starring Peter Weller, Christopher Collet and Teri Garr. Also featured is the score for the 1972 thriller Child’s Play directed by Sidney Lumet and starring James Mason, Robert Preston and Beau Bridges. Both scores are composed and conducted by Small.
