Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1994 sci-fi thriller Timecop directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ron Silver and Mia Sara. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Blade, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, Godfather of Harlem, 42, Nell, The Black Dahlia), as well as two unused tracks. The Deluxe Edition soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on July 10 and is now available for pre-order in both versions on Amazon. ‘Sudden Death’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new “deluxe edition” soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Sudden Death directed by Peter Hyams and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Powers Boothe, Dorian Harewood and Raymond J. Barry. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf, The Jungle Book, Horizon: An American Saga, Bruce Almighty, Hocus Pocus), including over half an hour previously unreleased music. A CD version is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release and a digital version will also be coming out next Friday, September 27 (click here to stream/download). Varese has previously released the original soundtrack album when the movie opened in theaters in 1995.
‘Stay Tuned’ Digital Score Album Released
Enjoy the Ride Records has released a digital version of the score album for the 1992 fantasy comedy Stay Tuned directed by Peter Hyams and starring John Ritter, Pam Dawber, Eugene Levy and Jeffrey Jones. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Rescuers Down Under, The Miracle on 42nd Street, Tombstone, Young Sherlock Holmes, Homeward Bound). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other major digital music services. Intrada Records has previously released the world premiere score release as a limited edition CD back in 2011, while Morgan Creek has released the original 1992 soundtrack album featuring songs from and inspired by the movie and two score tracks.
Nick Glennie-Smith’s ‘A Sound of Thunder’ Score to Be Released
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2005 sci-fi adventure A Sound of Thunder directed by Peter Hyams (2010, Outland, The Presidio) and starring Edward Burns, Catherine McCormack, Ben Kingsley, Jemima Rooper and David Oyelowo. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Nick Glennie-Smith (The Rock, We Were Soldiers, The Man in the Iron Mask, Secretariat, Heaven Is for Real). Intrada Records has announced the world premiere commercial soundtrack release for the 1988 crime thriler The Presidio directed by Peter Hyams and starring Sean Connery, Mark Harmon and Meg Ryan. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone, Young Sherlock Holmes, Lost in Space). The soundtrack for the Paramount Pictures production includes the complete score, as well as several alternate cues.
