Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history documentary series Kingdom. The album features the show’s original music composed by Segun Akinola (Doctor Who, Murder Is Easy, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room, Girl You Know It’s True, The Bayou, The Last Tree). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s main titles track after the jump. Kingdom is executive produced by Mike Gunton and narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The 6-parter produced by BBC Studios Natural History chronicles the dramatic real-life sagas of four African animal families, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs and lions – whose fates are inextricably linked as they strive for a foothold in a remote and fertile river valley in Zambia.

Premiering tonight before moving to its regular Monday night time slot on February 3 is the NBC drama The Hunting Party created by JJ Bailey and starring Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Josh McKenzie, Sara Garcia and Patrick Sabongui. Soundtracks for BBC’s ‘Dynasties’ Specials ‘Puma’, ‘Elephant’ & ‘Cheetah’ Released
Over the last couple of weeks, Silva Screen Records has released three new soundtrack albums for the BBC Earth natural history series Dynasties II. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the original music from the specials/first three episodes Puma, Elephant and Cheetah composed by Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice, Strange Magic, The Beatles and India) and Will Slater (One Strange Rock, The Green Planet, Africa). The label has previously released soundtracks featuring the composer’s music from the first season back in 2018 and the Meerkat special in 2021. Premiering on Wednesday, July 10, is the Apple TV+ original series Sunny developed by Katie Robbins based on Colin O’Sullivan’s book The Dark Manual an starring Rashida Jones, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Joanna Sotomura, Judy Ongg, YOU, annie the clumsy and Jun Kunimura. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Hart (The Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon, The Old Man and the Gun, Interview with the Vampire, A Ghost Story, Peter Pan & Wendy, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints). Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO original documentary Quad Gods directed by Jess Jacklin, produced by Johnny Fego & Jacklin and executive produced by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. Gary Gunn (A Thousand and One) has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which follows the lives of three New Yorkers with quadriplegia that meet in a neuro-rehabilitation lab where they create the world’s first fully quadriplegic e-sports team, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will air on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.
‘Planet Earth III’ Soundtrack Album Details
Silva Screen Records will release the official soundtrack album for BBC’s natural history series Planet Earth III. The album features the music from the show, including the main themes written by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight,Dune, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II) and Sara Barone (Grimcutty) and the original score composed by Shea & Barone for Bleeding Fingers Music. Bastille’s Dan Smith has collaborated with the composers on the score and his vocals are featured on the project’s opening title theme. Planet Earth III is presented by Sir David Attenborough, executive produced by Mike Gunton and travels to new, previously unseen locations to explore stunning landscapes.
Trevor Yuile to Return for AMC’s ‘Orphan Black: Echoes’
Trevor Yuile (Into the Badlands, Killjoys, Stag) is returning to score the upcoming AMC original series Orphan Black: Echoes. The show is created by Anna Fishko and stars Krysten Ritter, Keeley Hawes, Avan Jogia, Amanda Fix, Rya Kihlstedt, James Hiroyuki Liao and Reed Diamond. The 10-part sci-fi thriller takes place in the world of the Yuile-scored Orphan Black original series (which ran between 2013 and 2017) and follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a story of love and betrayal.
BBC’s ‘Planet Earth III’ to Feature Music by Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea, Sara Barone, Russell Emanuel & Bastille’s Dan Smith
BBC announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II), Sara Barone (Grimcutty), producer Russell Emanuel (of Bleeding Fingers Music) and Bastille’s Dan Smith have collaborated to create the score for the upcoming nature documentary series Planet Earth III. Smith’s vocals will also be featured on the show’s opening title theme song, as well as within all episodes of the series and a reworking of Bastille’s single, Pompeii entitled Pompeii MMXXIII, plays during the project’s end credits. A first track (entitled Mother Nature) created and performed by Zimmer, singer/songwriter RAYE and Bastille, in collaboration with composer collective Bleeding Fingers Music, can be heard in the first teaser trailer (embedded below).

‘Doctor Who’ Series 13 Specials Soundtracks Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the soundtrack albums for this year’ Doctor Who specials, Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils and The Power of the Doctor. The albums feature the original music from the Series 13 special episodes composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room). The Eve of the Daleks album will be released digitally on December 2 (click here to stream/download), followed by the Legend of the Sea Devils soundtrack on December 9 (visit Amazon to stream/download) and the The Power of the Doctor album on December 16 (click here to stream/download). A 3-CD set featuring all three albums will be coming out on January 13, 2023. The label has previously released four soundtracks featuring Akinola’s music from Series 11, Series 12 & Series 13 and last year’s New Year’s special Revolution of the Daleks.

Premiering today is the Starz original series Dangerous Liaisons created by Harriet Warner and starring Alice Englert, Nicholas Denton, Lesley Manville, Paloma Faith, Carice van Houten, Michael McElhatton, Nathanael Saleh, Kosar Ali, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Hilton Pelser and Clare Higgins. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, The Dropout, Mrs. Wilson, Fate: The Winx Saga).
