AG Records has released the cover version of David Bowie’s Heroes from the BBC drama War Between the Land and the Sea. The track produced by Ethan Gillespie & Taran Mitchell and performed by Alison Goldfrapp & the show’s composer Lorne Balfe is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the song, which is now also available as part of the full soundtrack album, after the jump. Silva Screen Records has released the album, which includes selections of Balfe’s score from the new season, last week. War Between the Land and the Sea is created by Russell T Davies and stars Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jemma Redgrave, Ruth Madeley, Colin McFarlane and Alexander Devrient.

‘Doctor Who’ Season 10 Soundtrack Album Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a new soundtrack album for the BBC drama Doctor Who. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s tenth season, as well as the 2016/2017 Christmas Specials The Return of Doctor Mysterio & Twice Upon a Time, composed by Murray Gold (Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Death at a Funeral, Quiz, Shameless, It’s a Sin, Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil, A Very English Scandal). The soundtrack will be released digitally and as a 2-CD set on December 12. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. The label has previously released multiple soundtracks featuring Gold’s music from the previous nine seasons.
Lorne Balfe Scoring BBC’s & Disney+’s ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’
Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, The Wheel of Time, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Top Gun: Maverick) is scoring the upcoming BBC/Disney+ drama The War Between the Land and the Sea. The first Doctor Who spin-off series is written by Russell T Davies (Doctor Who, Torchwood) & Pete McTighe (A Discovery of Witches, The Pact) and stars Russell Tovey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ruth Madeley, Colin McFarlane, Jemma Redgrave and Alexander Devrient. The 5-parter directed by Dylan Holmes Williams follows the international military organization UNIT who step into action when a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series MaryLand created by Suranne Jones & Anne-Marie O’Connor and starring Jones herself, Eve Best, Stockard Channing, Dean Lennox Kelly, George Costigan, Hugh Quarshie and Andrew Knott. The show’s original music is composed by Samuel Sim (The Spanish Princess, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Bay, The Halcyon, Anne, The Long Call, Home Fires). ‘Doctor Who’ – ‘Revenge of the Cybermen’ & ‘Time and the Rani’ Soundtracks Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced two new soundtrack albums for the original Doctor Who series created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber & Donald Wilson. Titles include the Season 12 finale, Revenge of the Cybermen, which first premiered in 1975 and stars Tom Baker as the fourth Doctor, featuring music by Carey Blyton with Peter Howell and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. The second title is the first serial of the 24th season, Time and the Rani, which premiered in 1987 and stars Sylvester McCoy as the seventh Doctor and features music by Keff McCulloch. Murray Gold to Return as Composer for BBC’s ‘Doctor Who’
BBC announced today that Murray Gold (Torchwood, Gentleman Jack, It’s a Sin, Quiz, A Very English Scandal) is returning to score the BBC series Doctor Who. The composer who previously scored all episodes between 2005 and 2017 will be collaborating with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to compose the music for three special episodes celebrating the shows 60th anniversary with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor (to premiere this November), before Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the TARDIS as the Fifteenth Doctor with his first episode airing over the 2023/2024 holiday season.
‘Doctor Who’ Series 13 Specials Soundtracks Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the soundtrack albums for this year’ Doctor Who specials, Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils and The Power of the Doctor. The albums feature the original music from the Series 13 special episodes composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room). The Eve of the Daleks album will be released digitally on December 2 (click here to stream/download), followed by the Legend of the Sea Devils soundtrack on December 9 (visit Amazon to stream/download) and the The Power of the Doctor album on December 16 (click here to stream/download). A 3-CD set featuring all three albums will be coming out on January 13, 2023. The label has previously released four soundtracks featuring Akinola’s music from Series 11, Series 12 & Series 13 and last year’s New Year’s special Revolution of the Daleks.

Silva Screen Records has announced a new soundtrack album for BBC series Doctor Who. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s thirteenth season (entitled Flux) composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 30, 2022 (visit Amazon to stream/download the album). A 3-CD version, which also includes a bonus disc featuring Akinola’s music from the 2021 New Year’s Day special Revolution of the Daleks, will be coming out on November 11. The label has previously released Akinola’s score from Season 11 & Season 12, as well as multiple soundtrack albums featuring Murray Gold’s music from the first ten seasons.

The album features the original music from the Series 12 special composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 2 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. A physical version is also in the works. The label has previously released two soundtracks featuring Akinola’s score from Season 11 and Season 12.
