Königskinder has released a soundtrack album for the German TV series War of the Kingdoms (Die Nibelungen – Kampf der Königreiche). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Asia, Planet Earth III, Blue Planet II) & Adam Lukas (Frozen Planet II, Hagen, Primates). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon or most other major digital music platforms. Also listen to the composers’ first two tracks after the jump. War of the Kingdoms is developed by Cyrill Boss & Philipp Stenner based on Wolfgang Hohlbein’s 1986 novel Hagen and stars Gijs Naber, Jannis Niewöhner, Lilja van der Zwaag, Rosalinde Mynster and Dominic Marcus Singe. The fantasy drama follows a loyal soldier who falls for a princess and whose secret affair ignites a mythic war that reshapes kingdoms and tests fate.

Premiering tonight before moving to its regular Monday night time slot on February 3 is the NBC drama The Hunting Party created by JJ Bailey and starring Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Josh McKenzie, Sara Garcia and Patrick Sabongui. Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Asia’ Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history documentary series Asia. The album features the show’s original music composed by Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Planet Earth III, Blue Planet II) & Laurentia Editha (Island of the Sea Wolves, Alien Worlds, Growing Up Animal) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically next Friday, December 20. The 2-CD version will be available to order as an import on Amazon within the next couple of days. ‘Planet Earth III’ Soundtrack Album Details
Silva Screen Records will release the official soundtrack album for BBC’s natural history series Planet Earth III. The album features the music from the show, including the main themes written by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight,Dune, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II) and Sara Barone (Grimcutty) and the original score composed by Shea & Barone for Bleeding Fingers Music. Bastille’s Dan Smith has collaborated with the composers on the score and his vocals are featured on the project’s opening title theme. BBC’s ‘Planet Earth III’ to Feature Music by Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea, Sara Barone, Russell Emanuel & Bastille’s Dan Smith
BBC announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II), Sara Barone (Grimcutty), producer Russell Emanuel (of Bleeding Fingers Music) and Bastille’s Dan Smith have collaborated to create the score for the upcoming nature documentary series Planet Earth III. Smith’s vocals will also be featured on the show’s opening title theme song, as well as within all episodes of the series and a reworking of Bastille’s single, Pompeii entitled Pompeii MMXXIII, plays during the project’s end credits. A first track (entitled Mother Nature) created and performed by Zimmer, singer/songwriter RAYE and Bastille, in collaboration with composer collective Bleeding Fingers Music, can be heard in the first teaser trailer (embedded below).

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the boxing drama Creed III directed by Michael B. Jordan and starring Jordan, Jonathan Majors, Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu, Wood Harris,Phylicia Rashad and Mila Davis-Kent. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Bad Trip,The Mysterious Benedict Society). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). A separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie has been released by Dreamville/Interscope Records (click here for more details).
Also opening nationwide is the action comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Bugzy Malone, Cary Elwes and Hugh Grant. Chris Benstead (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Soundtrack Album for BBC Earth’s ‘The Planets’ Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC Earth docu-series The Planets. The album features selections of the original music composed by Anže Rozman (Great Bear Rainforest) and Andrew Christie (The Flood), as well as Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Planet Earth II) and David Fleming (Hillbilly Elegy, Blue Planet II) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The Planets is narrated by Professor Brian Cox (in the original UK version) & Zachary Quinto (in the U.S. version) and follows the dramatic lives of the eight majestic planets that make up our solar system through five episodes.
BBC America’s ‘Planet Earth: A Celebration’ to Feature New Compositions by Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea & Bleeding Fingers Music
BBC America announced today that Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and the team at Bleeding Fingers Music have created new compositions for BBC America’s upcoming television event Planet Earth: A Celebration, which highlights eight of the most extraordinary sequences from the Emmy-winning docu-series Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II. They have also rearranged the original scores from the two shows for the new TV special. The string section of the score is performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, accompanied by Brit and Mercury Award-winning UK rapper, Dave, who performs on the grand piano. Sir David Attenborough has provided new narration for the project.
