Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, The First) has composed the original music for the new National Geographic limited series Barkskins. The show is created by Elwood Reid (The Bridge, The Chi) and stars David Thewlis, Marcia Gay Harden, Aneurin Barnard, James Bloor, Christian Cooke, David Wilmot, Thomas M. Wright, Tallulah Haddon, Kaniehtiio (Tiio) Horn, Lily Sullivan and Zahn McClarnon. The 8-part drama is based on the New York Times’ bestselling novel by Pulitzer Prize-winner Annie Proulx and follows a disparate group of outcasts and dreamers battling to escape their pasts while navigating the brutal frontier hardships, competing interests, and tangled loyalties at the crossroads of civilization: the New World. Reid and Proulx are also executive producing the FOX 21 Television Studios production with Scott Rudin (No Country for Old Men, The Social Network), Garrett Basch (Devs, Dispatches from Elsewhere), Eli Bush (Lady Bird, Eighth Grade) and David Slade (Hard Candy, Hannibal, American Gods) who also directed the first two episodes. Barkskins will premiere on Memorial Day, May 25 on National Geographic. Visit the official show website for updates.

Also coming up for Stetson is the Adult Swim anime series Uzumaki, which is expected to premiere later this year.
