Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Columbian drama Pickpockets. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Alex Heffes (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, The Last King of Scotland, Roots, 11.22.63, Touching the Void, State of Play). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 18, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Pickpockets is directed by Peter Webber (The Girl with the Pearl Earring) and stars Carlos Bardem, Natalia Reyes and Emiliano Pernia. The movie follows a group of teen thieves who learn what it takes to be successful pickpockets on the streets of Bogotá from a master in the art of trickery and deception.

Premiering tonight is the Starz limited series Howards End developed by Kenneth Lonergan and starring Hayley Atwell, Matthew Macfadyen, Julia Ormond, Philippa Coulthard, Joseph Quinn, Rosalind Eleazar, Tracey Ullman and Alex Lawther. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Nico Muhly (The Reader, Kill Your Darlings, Margaret, Joshua). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also premiering tonight is the new BBC America original series Killing Eve created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Analyze That, Haywire, Out of Sight) is composing the show’s original music. Alex Heffes Scoring Peter Webber’s ‘Pickpockets’
Alex Heffes has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Pickpockets (Carteristas). The movie marks director Peter Webber’s first Spanish-language feature and stars Carlos Bardem, Emiliano Pernia, Marcela Mar, Natalia Reyes and Duban Prado. The movie is set in the capital of Bogota and revolves around 16-year old street urchin who, together with two pals, learns the art of pickpocketing from a master in the sleight of hand. Gael Nouaille (Return to Ithaca) is producing the project for Full House.
