Premiering tonight is the AMC original series The Walking Dead: World Beyond created by Scott M. Gimple & Matt Negrete and starring Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella and Julia Ormond. The show’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (Doctor Sleep, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Detachment, Life of Crime, Oculus). Also premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series Cobra created by Ben Richards and stars Robert Carlyle, Victoria Hamilton, Richard Dormer, David Haig, Marsha Thomason and Lucy Cohu. Rob Lane (Merlin, A Discovery of Witches, John Adams, The Damned United, Atlantis) is composing the show’s original music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the drama’s first season. Jamison Hollister is the composer of the new Showtime limited series The Good Lord Bird. The show is based on the National Book Award-winning novel of the same title by James McBride and stars Ethan Hawke, Ellar Coltrane, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Beau Knapp, Nick Eversman, Jack Alcott and Mo Brings Plenty, as well as guest stars Daveed Diggs, David Morse, Steve Zahn, Maya Hawke, Wyatt Russell and Orlando Jones. The 7-part drama is told from the point of view of a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of controversial abolitionist John Brown’s motley family of soldiers during Bleeding Kansas and eventually finds himself participating in the famous 1859 raid on the U.S. Armory at Harpers Ferry.
