Animal Land Music has released a soundtrack album for the body horror drama Shapeless. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mandy Hoffman (The Lovers, Terri, I Love Dick, Hala, Dummy, Doll & Em, Honesty Weekend). Premiering tonight is the Showtime original documentary The Longest War directed by Greg Barker and executive produced by Alex Gansa & Howard Gordon about America’s involvement in Afghanistan, now the longest war in U.S. history. The film’s original music is composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, Crimson Peak, A Monster Calls, Hercules, Devil). Premiering tomorrow, April 20, is the Netflix animated series The Midnight Gospel created by Pendleton Ward & Duncan Trussell and starring Trussell himself, Phil Hendrie, Drew Pinsky, Joey Diaz, Natasha Leggero, Johnny Pemberton, Christina Pazsitzky and Stephen Root. Joe Wong (Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Russian Doll) is composing the show’s original music. Mandy Hoffman Scoring Quibi’s ‘Dummy’
Mandy Hoffman (The Lovers, Terri, Hala, I Love Dick, Doll & Em) has composed the original music for the new Quibi original series Dummy. The show is directed by Tricia Brock, written by Cody Heller (Deadbeat) and stars Anna Kendrick and Donal Logue. The comedy is inspired by Heller’s relationship with her fiancé Dan Harmon and revolves around an aspiring-but-blocked writer who happens upon her boyfriend’s sex doll (voiced by Meredith Hagner) that suddenly starts talking to her.
‘Hala’ Soundtrack Released
Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Hala. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mandy Hoffman (The Lovers, Terri, I Love Dick). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Apple Music. A release in other digital music stores is expected in 2020. Hala is written and directed by Minhal Baig and stars Geraldine Viswanathan, Jack Kilmer, Gabriel Luna, Purbi Joshi, Azad Khan and Anna Chlumsky. The movie follows a 17-year-old girl who is navigating the conflicting worlds of her traditional Muslim household and her modern high school.

Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Frozen II directed by Chris Buck & Jennifer Lee and starring Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, The Muppets, Edge of Tomorrow) has composed the film’s original score and Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez have composed the original songs. ‘I Love Dick’ Soundtrack Released
Amazon Content Services has released a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series I Love Dick. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Mandy Hoffman (Terri, The Lovers). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Also coming out today as a digital single is the song Zan Hastam by She-King as featured in the comedy. Click here to download the track. The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell. The film’s original score is composed by Tyler Bates (300, Watchmen). Hollywood Records has released two soundtrack albums, including the Awesome Mix Vol. 2 featuring the songs from the movie, as well as score album featuring Bates’ music. Opening in limited release is the comedy drama 3 Generations co-written and directed by Gaby Dellal and starring Elle Fanning, Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, Sam Trammell, Linda Emond and Tate Donovan. West Dylan Thordson (Split, Foxcatcher) has composed the film’s original score. Michael Brook composed the original version of the film (entitled About Ray), which premiered at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival. Mandy Hoffman has composed the original score for the new Amazon original series I Love Dick. The show is created by Jill Soloway (Transparent, Lars and the Real Girl) & Sarah Gubbins (Ten Aker Wood) and stars Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Hahn, Griffin Dunne and Roberta Colindrez. The comedy is based on Chris Kraus’ 1997 novel of the same name and is set in a colorful academic community in Marfa, Texas, where a struggling married couple and their mutual obsession with an off-putting but charismatic professor. Gubbins and Soloway are also executive producing the project with Andrea Sperling (Smashed, Like Crazy) and Victor Hsu.
‘The Lovers’ Soundtrack Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Azazel Jacobs’ indie comedy The Lovers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mandy Hoffman (Ana Maria in Novela Land) who previously scored the director’s Terri. The soundtrack will be released digitally next month and is set for a physical release on June 2, 2017. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The Lovers is written and directed by Jacobs and stars Debra Winger, Tracy Letts, Aidan Gillen, Melora Walters, Tyler Ross and Jessica Sula. The movie follows a chronically cheating married couple whose relationship has gone bitterly bad. When they decide to sit down and get divorced, the two find themselves suddenly falling in love again.
