Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Frozen II directed by Chris Buck & Jennifer Lee and starring Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Christophe Beck (Ant-ManThe Muppets, Edge of Tomorrow) has composed the film’s original score and Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez have composed the original songs. Also opening wide is the biographical drama A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood directed by Marielle Heller and starring Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper. The film’s original music is composed by Nate Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?The Diary of a Teenage Girl). Also opening nationwide is the thriller 21 Bridges directed by Brian Kirk and starring Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David, Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil WarX-Men: First ClassWreck-It-Ralph) and Alex Belcher (IO) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in limited release before expanding nationwide next month is the drama Dark Waters  directed by Todd Haynes and starring Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper and Bill Pullman. The film’s original music is composed by Marcelo Zarvos (WonderFencesThe AffairThe Good ShepherdRay Donovan). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening in limited release is the action thriller The Courier directed by Zackary Adler and starring Olga Kurylenko, Gary Oldman, Amit Shah, Alicia Agneson, Greg Orvis Conway, Craig Conway, William Moseley and Dermot Mulroney. No soundtrack album has been announced. James Edward Barker (Lean on PeteHeistPrecious CargoMara) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in select theaters before premiering on Apple TV+ next month is the indie drama Hala written and directed by Minhal Baig and starring Geraldine Viswanathan, Jack Kilmer, Gabriel Luna, Purbi Joshi, Azad Khan and Anna Chlumsky. The film’s original music is composed by Mandy Hoffman (The Lovers, Terri, I Love Dick). Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score.
