Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action fantasy adventure Mortal Kombat II directed by Simon McQuoid and starring Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Josh Lawson, Jessica McNamee, Lewis Tan, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Damon Herriman, Tati Gabrielle, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, Chin Han and Hiroyuki Sanada. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Twisters, Hidden Figures, Shazam!, The Conjuring: Last Rites, Blade Runner 2049, The Invisible Man) who previously scored the original 2021 movie. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a new remix of the Olivier Adams-composed theme song Techno Syndrome from the game (feat. ‘The Sheep Detectives’ Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the murder mystery comedy The Sheep Detectives. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, WandaVision, Free Guy, The Muppets, The Hangover, The Pink Panther). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 8 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Sheep Detectives is directed by Kyle Balda and stars Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Nicholas Braun, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson, as well as voice cast members Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Regina Hall, Chris O’Dowd, Brett Goldstein, Patrick Stewart,Bella Ramsey and Rhys Darby. The movie based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full tells the story of a shepherd who reads detective novels to his sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand, but when a mysterious incident occurs, the sheep realize they must become the detectives.

The film marks Zwart’s animated feature debut and stars Rita Ora, Ella Purnell. Steve Speirs, Anton Lesser and Alan Carr. The movie tells the story of two fearless Viking girls as they defy tradition to return a stowaway boy to China.

Composer Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Free Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, WandaVision, The Pink Panther, The Muppets) is reuniting with director Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) on the XR short Asteroid. The film is directed by Liman, Julina Tatlock & Jed Weintrob (Invisible, Don’t Look Deeper) and stars Hailee Steinfeld, Ron Perlman, Rhenzy Feliz, Freida Pinto, DK Metcalf and Leon Mandel. The action thriller, which is being described as a “180° immersive short film and interactive story extension” made for the launch of Google’s new Android XR platform, follows a group of strangers who take an old Russian Soyuz rocket to mine a near-earth, treasure laden asteroid for a chance at unimaginable wealth.

‘Agatha All Along’ Volume 2 (Episodes 6-9) Soundtrack Album Details

The details of the second soundtrack album for the Disney+ original series Agatha All Along have been revealed. The album features the original score from the final four episodes of the Marvel Television production composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, WandaVision, Frozen, Free Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover) and Michael Paraskevas (Hawkeye). Also included is the original song The Ballad of the Witches’ Road written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez in several versions (already out now separately as digital singles). The Volume 2 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 1 by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music (click here to stream/download). The label has previously released a first album featuring the score and songs from the first episodes last month. A vinyl edition featuring the songs and selections of the score will also be coming out tomorrow (visit Amazon to pre-order).

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series Moonflower Murders created by Anthony Horowitz and starring Lesley Manville, Timothy McMullan, Mark Gatiss, Daniel Mays, Rosalie Craig, Claire Rushbrook, Conleth Hill, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Matthew Beard, Adrian Rawlins and Sanjeev Kohli. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Dead Ringers, It’s a Sin, A Very English Scandal, Quiz) who previously scored 2022’s original Magpie Murders series. Check out our previous article to learn more about the drama, which will air in the U.S. on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

Premiering on Tuesday, September 17, is the ABC comedy High Potential created by Drew Goddard and starring Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Amirah J, Deniz Akdeniz, Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes. Josh Kramon (Veronica Mars, iZombie, Forever, Party Down, October Road) and Jake Staley (Valor, 7 Below) are composing the show’s original score. The series, which follows single mom whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective, will air Tuesdays on ABC and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

The film’s original score is composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Knock at the Cabin, Y: The Last Man, The Sun Is Also a Star, The Essex Serpent, We’re Here). Saleka (who stars as the fictional pop star Lady Raven) has contributed the project’s original songs. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs today.
