The details of the first soundtrack album for Marvel’s Disney+ original series VisionQuest have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the first four episodes of the show composed by Mick Giacchino (The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, The Muppets Mayhem, Zootopia+, Extinct, Surviving Hurricane Otis, That Dirty Black Bag). The Volume 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 22 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s final two tracks below. A second volume featuring the composer’s score from Episodes 5-8 is expected to be released next month. VisionQuest is created by Terry Matalas based on the Marvel Comics and stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, T’Nia Miller, Todd Stashwick, Lauren Morais, Diane Morgan, Orla Brady, Polly Frame, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Lewis, Emily Hampshire and James D’Arc.

Mick Giacchino Scoring Jorge Michel Grau’s ‘Surviving Hurricane Otis’
Mick Giacchino (The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, The Muppets Mayhem, Extinct, Zootopia+, That Dirty Black Bag) has composed the original score for the new Mexican Netflix original film Surviving Hurricane Otis (Contra el Huracán). The movie is directed by Jorge Michel Grau (We Are What We Are, Perdida) and stars Benny Emmanuel, Kristyan Ferrer, Mónica Del Carmen, Mónica Jiménez, Andrew Leland Rogers, Gonzalo Vega Jr., Teté Espinoza, Octavio Michel Grau and Roberto Cázares. The drama follows a young man and his half-brother who are trapped when a tropical storm quickly transforms into Category 5 Hurricane Otis off the coast of Acapulco and – distanced and with more differences than things in common – will have to learn to trust each other to survive.

Mick Giacchino Scoring Marvel’s Disney+ Series ‘VisionQuest’
Mick Giacchino (The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Zootopia+, The Muppets Mayhem, Extinct, That Dirty Black Bag) has been tapped to score Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ original series VisionQuest. The show is developed by Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys) and stars Paul Bettany in the title role, alongside Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Emily Hampshire, Orla Brady, Ruaridh Mollica, as well as James Spader as Ultron. The Marvel Television production takes place after the events in WandaVision (scored by Christophe Beck) and follows Vision as he tries to regain his memory and humanity.
Theodore Shapiro & Mick Giacchino Win Emmy Awards for ‘Severance’ Season 2 & ‘The Penguin’ Scores
Theodore Shapiro has won his second Emmy Award for his score for the episode Cold Harbor from the second season of the Apple TV+ original series Severance in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series category at tonight’s first night of the 77th Creative Prime Emmy Awards. He previously won his first Emmy for his music from Season 1 back in 2022 and was also nominated for his main title theme. Mick Giacchino received his first Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special category for his score from the episode After Hours of the HBO series The Penguin. Cristobal Tapia de Veer has won his fourth Emmy Award for his theme for the third season of HBO”s The White Lotus in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category.
‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released
The details of the full soundtrack album for the Disney+ original series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew have been revealed. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 17 by Walt Disney Records (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Also listen to the composer’s end credits track below. The label has previously released a first track (The Kids’ Suite) from the composer’s score as a digital single last month. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is developed by Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, Robert Timothy Smith, Kyriana Kratter, Kerry Condon and Nick Frost. The Lucasfilm production follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and then get lost in a dangerous and strange galaxy.

The Penguin is developed by Lauren LeFranc and stars Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Scott Cohen, James Madio, Clancy Brown, Michael Zegen, Theo Rossi and Carmen Ejogo. The 8-parter is set after the events of Matt Reeves’ 2022 feature The Batman and follows ruthlessly ambitious gangster Oz Cobb who – following the death of Carmine Falcone – sees an opportunity to fill the power vacuum and make his own mark in Gotham’s criminal underworld.
