Premiering today is the MGM+ limited series Treasure Island created by Robert Murphy inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel and starring David Oyelowo, Hayley Atwell, Jack Huston, Tomer Capone and Tom Sweet. The show’s original music is composed by Alex Baranowski (True Things, The Teacher, Frauds, The Windmere Children, Locked In, Midas Man, Brides, The Kitchen, Rain Dogs, A Perfect Enemy). Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, October 12, is the Belgian limited series This Is Not a Murder Mystery directed by Hans Herbots and starring Pierre Gervais, Lauren Versnick, Jonathan Delaney Tynan,Frank Bourke, Florence Hall, Iñaki Mur, Mike Hoffmann and Regina Bikkinina. Justine Bourgeus (Squeal, Leef, Godvergeten) & Hannes De Maeyer (Professor T, Torpedo, Winter, The Couple Next Door, Gangsta, Rebel, Noise, Patience) have composed the show’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past March. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the drama The Social Reckoning written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Mikey Madison, ​Jeremy Allen White, ​Wunmi Mosaku, ​Bill Burr, ​Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen ​and Jeremy Strong. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Queen, Frankenstein, Philomena). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Netflix announced this week that Raffertie (The Substance, The Continental: From the World of John Wick,, Zone 414, White Dragon, One Way, Dragonfly, Bull) is the composer of the streamer’s upcoming original documentary series Tyson. The show is directed by Floyd Russ (American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing & O.J. Simpson) and explores the explosive life of Mike Tyson – one of the most feared and fascinating figures in sports history. The 4-parter centers on his chaotic upbringing in Brooklyn and traces his meteoric rise as the youngest heavyweight champion ever.

Raffertie (The Substance, The Continental: From the World of John Wick, California Schemin‘, White Dragon, Zone 414, One Way, Bull) will release a soundtrack album for the British drama Dragonfly. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and will be released digitally on November 7. Visit Amazon to pre-order the soundtrack. Dragonfly is written and directed by Paul Andrew Williams and stars Andrea Riseborough, Brenda Blethyn and Jason Watkins. The movie revolves around a neglected pensioner who finds an unexpected ally in her younger neighbor Colleen who helps her find a fresh purpose in life as she shops, cleans and cares for her.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Jamex McAvoy and stars McAvoy himself, Séamus McLean Ross and Samuel Bottomley. The movie is based on a true story of two Scottish men pretending to be Americans to achieve their dreams of hip-hop stardom. Archie Thomson & Elaine Gracie wrote the screenplay based on Gavin Bain’s autobiography of the same name.

The album features the film’s original music composed by Raffertie (The Continental: From the World of John Wick, Zone 414, White Dragon, One Way, Bull). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 20 by Waxwork Records. The streaming/download link will be added to this page within the next day. A vinyl edition will also be announced tomorrow. A first track has already been released as a digital single earlier this week.
