Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the drama The Social Reckoning written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Mikey Madison, ​Jeremy Allen White, ​Wunmi Mosaku, ​Bill Burr, ​Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen ​and Jeremy Strong. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Queen, Frankenstein, Philomena). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror movie Other Mommy directed by Rob Savage and starring Jessica Chastain, Jay Duplass, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, Arabella Olivia Clark and Karen Allen. Patrick Jonsson (The Boogeyman,The White Helmets, Mint, Scrapper, Black Earth Rising, Wildcat, The Lost Children, Virunga, On Her Shoulders) has composed the film’s original music. Composer/bassist/songwriter and record producer Marcus Miller (Boomerang, House Party, The Brothers, Marshall, The Great White Hype, Serving Sara, About Last Night) is reuniting with actor/writer/director Chris Rock on the upcoming comedy drama Misty Green. The film is written and directed by Rock and stars Rosalind Eleazar, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick and Rock himself. The movie revolves around a talented actress whose career has stalled fights as she for her second act years after her Hollywood breakthrough.

‘Candy Cane Lane’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Amazon original movie Candy Cane Lane have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Marcus Miller (Boomerang, Everybody Hates Chris, Marshall, The Brothers, House Party, About Last Night, I Think I Love My Wife). Also included is the original song Miracle co-written by Raphael Saadiq and feat. vocals by Kelli-Leigh (already out now as a digital single), as well as tracks by Coco Jones, Foo Fighters and Pentatonix. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 1 by Lakeshore Records (visit Amazon or any or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Available separately as a digital single (and included on the Amazon exclusive version of the album) is Chlöe’s cover of Merry Christmas Baby. Candy Cane Lane is directed by Reginald Hudlin and stars Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jillian Bell, Thaddeus J. Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated musical comedy Wish directed by Chris Buck & Fawn Veerasunthorn and starring Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Alan Tudyk, Natasha Rothwell, Harvey Guillén, Evan Peters and Ramy Youseff. The film’s original songs are written by Julia Michaels & Benjamin Rice and the movie’s original score is composed by Dave Metzger (Brother Bear 2, Tarzan & Jane). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs last week and has also released a separate deluxe edition featuring both songs and score on Wednesday. Also playing in theaters nationwide since Wednesday is the historical drama Napoleon directed by Ridley Scott and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Edouard Philipponnat, Rupert Everett, Catherine Walker and Ludivine Sagnier. Martin Phipps (The Crown, Victoria, Woman in Gold, The Honourable Woman, War & Peace, The Aftermath) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. Composer/bassist/songwriter and record producer Marcus Miller (Everybody Hates Chris, The Brothers, I Think I Love My Wife, About Last Night) has written the original music for the upcoming Amazon original movie Candy Cane Lane. The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin and stars Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jillian Bell, Ken Marino, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Genneya Walton, Chris Redd, Madison Thomas, Timothy Simons, Riki Lindhome and Stephen Tobolowsky. The holiday comedy adventure follows a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest who inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf to increase his odds, causing a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life.

Opening in theaters nationwide today is the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling directed by Olivia Wilde and starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Wilde herself, and KiKi Layne. The film’s original score is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon,  Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music last week (click here for the full album details) and a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie (including an original track written by Styles) today (click here for more information).

Opening in around 900 U.S. theaters today is the British family adventure drama Railway Children directed by Morgan Matthews and starring Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay, John Bradley, Beau Gadsdon and K.J. Aikens. Edward Farmer (Prince Philip: The Man Behind the Crown, DNA Family Secrets,) and Martin Phipps (The Crown, The Aftermath, Woman in Gold) have composed the film’s original music. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this year when the movie opened overseas (under the title The Railway Children Return). The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney+ movie Safety have been revealed. Also included is the original song Hold Us Together co-written and performed by by H.E.R. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 11 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download here. The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Hotel Mumbai,  Adrift, Ammonite, Patrick Melrose, The Old Guard, The Art of Racing in the Rain). Mixson, Corinne Foxx, Matthew Glave,Hunter Sansone, Amanda Warren, Miles Burris, Isaac Bell, Elijah Bell and James Badge Dale. The drama tells the true story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Nick Santora (Scorpion, The Fugitive) wrote the screenplay.
