Opening in theaters nationwide today is the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling directed by Olivia Wilde and starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Wilde herself, and KiKi Layne. The film’s original score is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon,  Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet). Opening in around 900 U.S. theaters today is the British family adventure drama Railway Children directed by Morgan Matthews and starring Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay, John Bradley, Beau Gadsdon and K.J. Aikens. Edward Farmer (Prince Philip: The Man Behind the Crown, DNA Family Secrets,) and Martin Phipps (The Crown, The Aftermath, Woman in Gold) have composed the film’s original music. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this year when the movie opened overseas (under the title The Railway Children Return). Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Paramount+ today is the coming-of-age drama On the Come Up directed by Sanaa Lathan and starring Jamila C. Gray, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Lil Yachty, Mike Epps,  Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Justin Martin, Titus Makin, GaTa and Cliff “Method Man” Smith. Daniel Wohl (Project Blue BookSearch PartyThe Weekend Away) has composed the film’s original score. Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie today. Opening in select theaters today before premiering on October 7 on Prime Video is the British comedy Catherine Called Birdy directed by Lena Dunham and starring Bella Ramsey, Billie Piper, Joe Alwyn, Andrew Scott, Dean Charles Chapman, Lesley Sharp and Isis Hainsworth. The film’s original score is composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, CarolThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, MissouriTwilight) and performed by Roomful of Teeth. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the score and the songs from the movie on October 7. Opening exclusively at Los Angeles’ Regency Village Theatre today before premiering on Apple TV+ next Friday, September 30, is the comedy drama The Greatest Beer Run Ever directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Zac Efron, Russell Crowe, Jake Picking and Will Ropp. Dave Palmer (Loudermilk) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the sci-fi thriller Blank directed by Natalie Kennedy and starring Rachel Shelley, Heida Reed, Rebecca-Clare Evans, Annie Cusselle and Wayne Brady. The film’s original music is composed by Arhynn Descy (Eye for an Eye, Nine Nights, The Tombs). Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Apple TV+ today is the documentary Sidney directed by Reginald Hudlin about iconic actor, filmmaker and activist Sidney Poitier and his legacy. The film’s original score is composed by Marcus Miller (Marshall, The Best Man, Everybody Hates ChrisI Think I Love My Wife). Craig DeLeon (The Last Days of Ptolemy GreyMusic) has composed the main title theme. No word on a soundtrack release. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the romantic drama The Swearing Jar directed by Lindsay MacKay and starring Adelaide Clemens, Douglas Smith, Patrick J. Adams and Kathleen Turner. Timothy Williams (Brightburn, Pearl, Finding You, Walking with the Enemy) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which revolves around a singer-songwriter who is reluctantly falling for a clerk at the local bookstore while still in a relationship with her husband, premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival and is being distributed by Gravitas Ventures.

Also opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the action thriller The Enforcer directed by Richard Hughes and starring Antonio Banderas, Kate Bosworth, Alexis Ren, Mojean Aria, Natalie Burn, Zolee Griggs and 2 Chainz. The film’s original music is composed by Giorgio Giampà (Time Share, Drive Me Home, ChristianWe Are the Thousand). Millennium Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
