Dave Palmer is the composer of the upcoming comedy drama The Greatest Beer Run Ever. The film is directed by Peter Farrelly (Green Book, Dumb and Dumber) and stars Zac Efron, Russell Crowe, Jake Picking and Will Ropp. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Joanna Molloy & John “Chickie” Donohue and tells the true story of a merchant seaman who, in 1967, accepted a bet to personally deliver a case of beer from New York to his army buddies in Vietnam. Farrelly also co-wrote the screenplay with Brian Currie (Green Book) and Pete Jones (Hall Pass). David Ellison, Dana Goldberg & Don Granger (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher) are producing the Skydance Media production with Andrew Muscato and Jake Myers (Mission: Impossible – Fallout). Palmer has previously scored the Farrelly-produced TV series Loudermilk. The composer/songwriter’s other film/TV scoring credits include Mike Mills’ feature Beginners, which he co-scored with Brian Reitzell & Roger Neill. The Greatest Beer Run Ever will premiere next month at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select theaters and debut on Apple TV+ on September 30.
