Carlo Siliotto (The Punisher, Miracles from Heaven, Under the Same Moon, Fluke, Nomad: The Warrior) has released a soundtrack album for the documentary QAZAQ: History of the Golden Man. The album features the composer’s original score from the and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. QAZAQ: History of the Golden Man is directed by Igor Lopatonok and explores the challenges, difficulties and misconceptions in being the last of the Soviet republics to declare independence through the obstacles faced in reconstructing a nation from scratch still suffering from the Soviet traumas of the 20th Century.

Opening in theaters nationwide today is the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling directed by Olivia Wilde and starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Wilde herself, and KiKi Layne. The film’s original score is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Bourne Identity, Happy Feet). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music last week (click here for the full album details) and a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie (including an original track written by Styles) today (click here for more information).
Opening in around 900 U.S. theaters today is the British family adventure drama Railway Children directed by Morgan Matthews and starring Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay, John Bradley, Beau Gadsdon and K.J. Aikens. Edward Farmer (Prince Philip: The Man Behind the Crown, DNA Family Secrets,) and Martin Phipps (The Crown, The Aftermath, Woman in Gold) have composed the film’s original music. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this year when the movie opened overseas (under the title The Railway Children Return). Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi adventure The Divergent Series: Allegiant directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Jeff Daniels, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton) who previously scored last year’s Insurgent. ‘Miracles from Heaven’ Soundtrack Details
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Miracles from Heaven. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Carlo Siliotto (The Punisher, Under the Same Moon, Fluke, Nomad: The Warrior). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Miracles from Heaven is directed by Patricia Riggen (The 33) and stars Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Kylie Rogers and Eugenio Derbez. The movie follows a woman whose daughter has a rare, incurable disease and becomes a ferocious advocate for her child’s healing as she searches for a solution.

Carlo Siliotto has composed the music for the upcoming drama Miracles from Heaven. The film is directed by Patricia Riggen and stars Jennifer Garner, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Kylie Rogers, Eugenio Derbez and Queen Latifah. The movie is based on the book by Christy Beam and follows a woman whose daughter has a rare, incurable disease and becomes a ferocious advocate for her child’s healing as she searches for a solution. Randy Brown (Trouble with the Curve) has written the screenplay. Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Oz the Great and Powerful), T.D. Jakes (Heaven Is for Real, Jumping the Broom) and DeVon Franklin are producing the project.
Carlo Siliotto to Score ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend’
Carlo Siliotto has signed on to score the upcoming martial arts epic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend. The film is directed by Yuen Wo-Ping (Tai Chi Master) who has served as the martial arts choreographer on The Matrix trilogy and Kill Bill and stars Michelle Yeoh who is reprising her role as Yu Shu-Lien from the original film, as well as Donnie Yen as Silent Wolf. Harry Shum Jr., Jason Scott Lee, Roger Yuan, Eugenia Yuan and Natasha Liu Bordizzo are co-starring. No plot details have been announced yet, but the movie is said to tell a story of “lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption”. John Fusco (Marco Polo, Young Guns, Hidalgo) has written the screenplay based on the novel Iron Knight, Silver Vase by Wang Dulu.

Opening wide today is the concert documentary One Direction: This Is Us directed by Morgan Spurlock about the British/Irish boy band One Direction, consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Franglen who collaborated with James Horner on his scores for Avatar, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Karate Kid has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been released, but the songs featured in the film are available on the band’s records. Carlo Siliotto Scoring ‘May in the Summer’
Carlo Siliotto has composed the score for the indie drama May in the Summer. The film is written and directed by Cherien Dabis (Amreeka) and stars herself, alongside Hiam Abbass, Bill Pullman, Alia Shawkat, Nadine Malouf, Alexander Siddig and Ritu Singh Pande. The movie follows a bride-to-be who is forced to reevaluate her life when she reunites with her family in Jordan and finds herself confronted with the aftermath of her parents’ divorce. Dabis is also producing the project with Alix Madigan-Yorkin (Winter’s Bone, Cleaner) and Chris Tricarico. Siliotto’s previous film scoring credits include The Punisher, Under the Same Moon, Fluke and Nomad: The Warrior, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. May in the Summer just premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. No distribution deal has been announced yet.
Carlo Siliotto Scoring ‘Without Men’
Composer Carlo Siliotto has recently scored his first English language feature film in several years. The comedy Without Men starring Eva Longoria, Christian Slater, Kate del Castillo and Oscar Nunez centers on a group of women of a small, remote Latin American mountain village that’s forever altered the day all of its men are recruited to go fight in the country’s civil war. The movie is based on James Canon’s Tales From the Town of Widows: A Novel and written for the screen and directed by Gabriela Tagliavini. The music for the film was recorded earlier this year in Bulgaria. Siliotto is best known internationally for his music for the 2004 comic book adaptation The Punisher and his Golden Globe-nominated score for Nomad: The Warrior. Maya Entertainment has picked up domestic rights for Without Men and is planning a theatrical release later this year.
