Composer/bassist/songwriter and record producer Marcus Miller (Everybody Hates Chris, The Brothers, I Think I Love My Wife, About Last Night) has written the original music for the upcoming Amazon original movie Candy Cane Lane. The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin and stars Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jillian Bell, Ken Marino, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Genneya Walton, Chris Redd, Madison Thomas, Timothy Simons, Riki Lindhome and Stephen Tobolowsky. The holiday comedy adventure follows a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest who inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf to increase his odds, causing a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life. Kelly Younger (Muppets Haunted Mansion) wrote the screenplay. Murphy is also producing the project with Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13), Karen Lunder (Thirteen Lives, Gifted) and Charisse Hewitt-Webster. Miller has previously scored most of Hudlin’s features, including Marshall, Boomerang, House Party, The Ladies Man, Serving Sara, The Great White Hype, Safety and Sidney. Candy Cane Lane will premiere on December 1, 2023 on Prime Video.
