Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Social Reckoning. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Jurassic World Rebirth, Frankenstein, Godzilla, The Queen, Philomena). Also included is The Lament written by the composer and feat. vocals by soprano Renée Fleming. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 9. The Social Reckoning is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Bill Burr, Billy Magnussen and Jeremy Strong. The companion piece to David Fincher’s 2010 feature The Social Network tells the story of a young Facebook engineer who enlists the help of a Wall Street Journal reporter to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets. The drama will be released in theaters nationwide on October 9 by Sony Pictures.
