Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Social Reckoning. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Jurassic World Rebirth, Frankenstein, Godzilla, The Queen, Philomena). Also included is The Lament written by the composer and feat. vocals by soprano Renée Fleming. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 9 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Social Reckoning is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Bill Burr, Billy Magnussen and Jeremy Strong. The film is written and directed by Sorkin and stars Nicole Kidman as iconic comedienne Lucille Ball and Javier Bardem as her husband Desi Arnaz. Nina Arianda, J.K. Simmons, Tony Hale, Alia Shwkat, Jake Lacy and Clark Gregg are also starring in the movie, which takes place during a week of production of the classic TV show I Love Lucy and explores the relationship between Ball and Arnaz as they face a set of crises that could end both their careers and their marriage.
