Polydor Records has released the original song Hear My Voice from Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7. The track is written by the film’s composer Daniel Pemberton and performed by Celeste who also co-wrote the lyrics with Pemberton. The song is now available as a digital single on Amazon and other digital music services and will also be included on the movie’s official soundtrack album, which is set to be released on October 16. ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Trial of the Chicago 7. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Birds of Prey, Ocean’s 8). Also included is the original end credits song Hear My Voice written by the composer and performed by Celeste (who also co-wrote the lyrics with Pemberton). The track will be available to stream/download tomorrow. The full soundtrack will be released digitally on October 16 (click here to pre-order) and a CD version is set to come out on November 20. The film is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network) and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Jeremy Strong, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Frank Langella, Michael Keaton and Mark Rylance. The movie tells the story of the Chicago 7, a group of activists who were charged by the federal government with conspiracy, inciting to riot and other charges stemming from anti-Vietnam War protests that broke out during the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
