Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the psychological thriller Primetime directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine. The film’s original score is composed by Ari Balouzian (Some Kind of Heaven, You Can See Everything, Monsters of God, Ren Faire, Atropia, Spermworld). A24 Music has releases a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original end credits song by Phoebe Bridgers today. Also opening wide is the survival thriller Heart of the Beast directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. Jared Michael Fry (The Beekeeper, A Working Man, Safehouse) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original documentary Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake, Still Alice, The Young Victoria, MobLand, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, House of Guinness, Kick-Ass) & Chad Hobson (Leaving Neverland, Adulthood, Offender, Sket, Path of Blood). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 8 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the British romantic period thriller Desperate Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust,  Still Alice, Layer Cake, MobLand, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, House of Guinness, The Young Victoria, Kick-Ass). Also included are several jazz tracks by Csengery Dániel, as well as actress Clara Rugaard’s renditions of A Spell on You and Made This Way. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The movie tells the story of a young Jewish man who is forced to flee Vienna as the Nazis invade and finds finds unexpected refuge in a lavish burlesque club in 1940s Paris. Michael Radford (The Postman, The Merchant of Venice) and Alfred Christian wrote the screenplay.

The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria, Still Alice, Layer Cake, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, MobLand, Kick-Ass). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. House of Guinness is created by Steven Knight and stars Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, Jack Gleeson, Niamh McCormack, Michael McElhatton, Danielle Galligan, Ann Skelly and Seamus O’Hara. The period drama is set in late 19th-century Dublin and New York following the death of the Guinness family patriarch as his four children hold the brewery’s fate in their hands.

Premiering on Tuesday, September 23 is the FX original series The Lowdown created by Sterlin Harjo and starring Ethan Hawke, Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tim Blake Nelson, Michael “Killer Mike” Render and Tracy Letts. The show’s original music is composed by singer/songwriter and guitarist JD McPherson who has made his scoring debut on the project. The neo-noir crime drama, which revolves around a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble, will air every Tuesday night on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

Premiering on Wednesday, September 24, is the Prime Video original series Hotel Costiera created by Elena Bucaccio & Francesco Arlanch and starring Jesse Williams, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade. Anton Sanko (The Possession, Rabbit Hole, Ouija, Big Love, The Silent Hour, Fractured, The Half of It) has composed the show’s original music. The period drama is set in 19th-century Dublin and New York and explores a story inspired by the Guinness Family, beginning immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the  success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children.
