Hollywood Records has released a new soundtrack album for the British Disney+/Hulu original series A Thousand Blows. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Federico Jusid (A Gentleman in Moscow, The English, The Night Manager, The Secret in Their Eyes , Misconduct, The Penguin Lessons, Watership Down, The Head). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track after the jump. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1 early last year. Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake, The Young Victoria, Still Alice, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, Kick-Ass) has recently scored the upcoming British Netflix original series House of Guinness. The show is created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Eastern Promises) and stars Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Jack Gleeson, Fionn O’Shea, Niamh McCormack, Danielle Galligan, Ann Skelly, Michael McElhatton and Seamus O’Hara. The period drama is set in 19th-century Dublin and New York and explores a story inspired by the Guinness Family, beginning immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children.

The composer’s opening titles track has previously been released as a digital single last week. The 6-part drama tells the story of two friends from Jamaica who find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of 1880’s London’s East End, where they meet the leader of an all-female criminal gang and run afoul of a criminal kingpin and notorious boxer.

FX’s ‘The Veil’ to Feature Music by Max Richter & Jon Opstad
Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Hostiles, Mary Queen of Scots, Waltz with Bashir, Miss Sloane, Spaceman) and Jon Opstad (Black Mirror: White Bear & White Christmas, Bodies, The Woman in White, Safe House, We Hunt Together) have composed the original music for the new FX limited series The Veil. The show is created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Locke, Eastern Promises) and stars Elisabeth Moss, Yumna Marwan, Dali Benssalah and Josh Charles. The 6-part spy thriller centers on the relationship between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London.
Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘This Town’ to Be Released
Polydor Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC drama This Town. The album features the songs from the show, including new covers created for the end credits of each episode by artists such as Celeste, Ray Laurél, Gregory Porter, Sekou and Olivia Dean. Also included are five songs performed by F**k The Factory – the band at the heart of series – created by Dan Carey, in collaboration with ESKA and Kae Tempest. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on April 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Self Esteem’s cover of Jimmy Cliff’s You Can Get It If You Really Want) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out below. Six contemporary artists have contributed cover versions for the new BBC drama This Town. Celeste has recorded a new version of the Richard Rodgers- & Lorenz Hart-penned Blue Moon, Gregory Porter has covered Charles Bradley’s The World (Is Going Up In Flames), Olivia Dean has contributed a yet-to-be revealed cover, Ray Laurél has recorded a cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow (from The Wizard of Oz), Sekou has contributed a cover of Jimmy Cliff’s Wonderful World, Beautiful People and Self Esteem has covered Cliff’s You Can Get It If You Really Want. The show is created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Eastern Promises) and stars Michelle Dockery, Nicholas Pinnock, Levi Brown, David Dawson, Ben Rose, Jordan Bolger and Eve Austin. The 6-part series directed by Paul Whittington tells the story of an extended family and a group of young people who are drawn into an explosive music scene in the Midlands in the early 1980s.

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original limited series All the Light We Cannot See. The album features the show’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, King Kong, The Fugitive, The Village, Signs).
