Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the psychological thriller Primetime directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine. The film’s original score is composed by Ari Balouzian (Some Kind of Heaven, You Can See Everything, Monsters of God, Ren Faire, Atropia, Spermworld). A24 Music has releases a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original end credits song by Phoebe Bridgers today. Also opening wide is the survival thriller Heart of the Beast directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. Jared Michael Fry (The Beekeeper, A Working Man, Safehouse) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Theodore Shapiro has won his second Emmy Award for his score for the episode Cold Harbor from the second season of the Apple TV+ original series Severance in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series category at tonight’s first night of the 77th Creative Prime Emmy Awards. He previously won his first Emmy for his music from Season 1 back in 2022 and was also nominated for his main title theme. Mick Giacchino received his first Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special category for his score from the episode After Hours of the HBO series The Penguin. Cristobal Tapia de Veer has won his fourth Emmy Award for his theme for the third season of HBO”s The White Lotus in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category.
