Milan Records has released all three soundtrack album for the Adult Swim original anime series Lazarus. The show’s director Shinichirō Watanabe tasked three artists with composing distinct soundtracks for the project: jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington (West Coast Get Down), producer, DJ & musician Floating Points (Floating Points Ensemble) and producer, DJ & musician Bonobo. Three first tracks, including Washington’s main theme, have previously been released as digital singles. Lazarus is produced by Sola Entertainment, animated by Studio MAPPA and follows a group of secret agents hunting for a vaccine to save humanity.

Adult Swim’s ‘Lazarus’ to Feature Score by Kamasi Washington, Floating Points & Bonobo
Adult Swim announced today that jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington (West Coast Get Down), producer, DJ & musician Floating Points (Floating Points Ensemble) and producer, DJ & musician Bonobo will compose the score for the upcoming Toonami original anime series Lazarus. The show developed by Shinichirō Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) is set in 2052 during an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity after a neuroscientist has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent and drawbacks.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix Documentary ‘Becoming’ Released
Young Turks Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary Becoming. The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Becoming is is directed by Nadia Hallgren and offers a look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. The movie follows Obama as she embarks on a 34-city tour.

Arista Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ songs from the drama on Friday.
