Premiering tonight is the TNT limited series High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam created by Daniel Stiepleman & Jonathan Wakeham and starring Joel Kinnaman, Waleed Zuaiter, Lena Góra, Tom Berenger, Christopher McDonald, Rebecca Night, Paul Ryan, Matt Barr, Dar Salim, Ewan Miller and Talia Balsam. The show’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Hocus Pocus, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, The Emperor’s New Groove,  The Princess Diaries, Liar Liar,Horizon: An American Saga) & Josh Debney (Santa Clarita Diet,  The Road Within, Careful What You Wish For). Chris Westlake Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Golden Axe’

Chris Westlake (Before We Go, Small Town Crimes, Transit) is the composer of the upcoming Paramount+ original animated series Golden Axe. The show is created by Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) & Joe Chandler (American Dad) based on SEGA’s video game of the same name and stars Matthew Rhys, Danny Pudi, Lisa Gilroy, Liam McIntyre and Carl Tart. The series follows legendary warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead as they reunite to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder, who just won’t seem to stay dead and are forced to work with Hampton Squib, an inexperienced and wildly underprepared adventurer whose dream of heroism far exceeds his abilities. as Chronos “Evil” Lait, an uncomfortably cheesy humanoid panther.

Soundtrack Album for Paramount+’s ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ to Be Released

Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Paramount+ animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Chris Westlake (Solar Opposites, Castle Rock, Before We Go, Small Town Crimes, Transit). The Vol. 1 soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and Apple Music/iTunes. Star Trek: Lower Decks is developed by Mike McMahan and features the voice talent of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, Dawnn Lewis, Eugene Cordero, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore and Gillian Vigman. The animated comedy centers on the support crew serving on the U.S.S. Cerritos, one of Starfleet’s least important ships, in 2380.

Hollywood Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Solar Opposites. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Chris Westlake (Castle Rock, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Before We Go, Transit, Small Town Crimes) . The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Solar Opposites is created by Justin Roiland & Mike McMahan and features the voices of Roiland himself, Sean Giambrone, Thomas Middleditch and Mary Mac. The animated comedy follows a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America.

The show is developed by Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) and features the voices of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, Eugene Cordero, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore and Gillian Vigman. The animated comedy focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. McMahan is also producing the project for CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, alongside Secret Hideout’s Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness, Now You See Me) & Heather Kadin (Scorpion, Sleepy Hollow), Roddenberry Entertainment’s Rod Roddenberry & Trevor Roth (Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard), as well as Katie Krentz.

Premiering on Wednesday, May 6, is the Netflix documentary Becoming directed by Nadia Hallgren and produced by Katy Chevigny, Marilyn Ness & Lauren Cioffi  about the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama as she embarks on a 34-city tour. The film’s original music is composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. Premiering on Friday, May 8, is the Netflix limited series The Eddy created by Jack Thorne and starring André Holland, Joanna Kulig, Amandla Stenberg, Leila Bekhti and Tahar Rahim. Glen Ballard (The Polar Express) and Randy Kerber (The Color Purple) have composed the show’s original music. Arista Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ songs from the drama on Friday. The show is created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) & Mike McMahan and features the voices of Roiland himself, Sean Giambrone, Thomas Middleditch and Mary Mac. The animated comedy centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. Roiland and McMahan are also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television production with Josh Bycel (Scrubs, Happy Endings).

Premiering on Wednesday, July 25, is the Hulu original series Castle Rock developed by Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason and starring André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy and Scott Glenn. Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty Finding Nemo) has composed the show’s main titles theme, as well as the first two episodes and Chris Westlake (Before We Go, Small Town Crime) has scored the other eight episodes of the first season. WaterTower Music has released Newman’s main theme and end titles music this past Friday. Check out our previous article for more information.

Also premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday is the Canadian legal drama Burden of Truth created by Brad Simpson and starring Kristin Kreuk, Peter Mooney, Star Slade, Nicola Correia-Damude and David Lawrence Brown. The show’s original music is composed by Ian LeFeuvre (The Detail, Carter) and Benjamin Pinkerton (Lost Girl, Dark Matter). Jody Colero serves as the project’s score producer and Shawn Pierce (The Bridge, Motive) has provided additional score to a few episodes. The series, which follows a big city lawyer who returns to her hometown to take the case of a group of girls suffering from a mysterious illness, aired earlier this year in Canada on CBC and is premiering stateside on The CW.

Hulu’s ‘Castle Rock’ to Feature Main Titles Theme & Score by Thomas Newman

Thomas Newman has composed the main titles theme for the new Hulu original series Castle Rock. The composer has also contributed the score for the first two episodes of the show, which is developed by Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason (Manhattan) and stars André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy and Scott Glenn. Chris Westlake (Before We Go, Small Town Crime) is the composer of the other eight episodes of the show’s first season. The psychological horror drama is set in the Stephen King multiverse and takes place in the fictional Maine town of Castle Rock, which has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption.
