Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the war drama 12 Strong directed by Nicolai Fuglsig and starring Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon and Michael Peña. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Click here for the full album details. The movie also features an original song, It Goes On performed by Zac Brown & Sir Rosevelt and written by Brown, Ben Simonetti & Niko Moon, which is available to download here.

Also opening wide is the heist thriller Den of Thieves directed by Christian Gudegast and starring Gerard Butler, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Evan Jones, Cooper Anderson and Maurice Compte. Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic, The Neon Demon, Narc, The Foreigner) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Two new movies are opening nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the action reboot The Transporter Refueled directed by Camille Delamarre and starring Ed Skrein, Ray Stevenson, Loan Shabanon, Gabriella Wright, Radivoje Bukvić, Anatole Taubman, Wenxia Yu and Tatiana Pajković. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Azaria (Lockout, Love and Other Disasters) who previously scored the second and third part in the original trilogy. EuropaCorp has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie by The Animals, Selah Sue, Mani Hoffman, The Leons & more. Already playing in theaters since Wednesday is the comedy drama A Walk in the Woods directed by Ken Kwapis and starring Robert Redford, Nick Nolte, Nick Offerman, Kristen Schaal, Mary Steenburgen and Emma Thompson. Nathan Larson (Boys Don’t Cry, Show Me a Hero, Margin Call, Our Idiot Brother) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring two tracks from the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the film by Lord Huron, Blake Mills, Dwight Yoakum, Great Lake Swimmers and Shovels & Rope. Chris Westlake to Score Chris Evans’ ‘Before We Go’

Chris Westlake has been hired to score the upcoming romance Before We Go. The film marks the directorial debut of Chris Evans who also stars in the film alongside Alice Eve. The movie, which was originally entitled 1:30 Train, is set in Manhattan and follows two strangers after their serendipitous meeting in Grand Central who form an unlikely bond and the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for exploration into each other and themselves. Ron Bass (Rain Man, Entrapment), Jen Smolka, Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair have written the screenplay. Evans is also producing the project with McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator: Salvation), Mary Viola, Mark Kassen (Puncture), William J. Immerman, Karen & Howard Baldwin (Ray, Sahara).

‘My Uncle Rafael’ Soundtrack Details

La-La Land Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the indie comedy My Uncle Rafael. The album features the film’s original music composed and arranged by Joey Newman (The Middle) and Chris Westlake (Transit). Also included are two original songs written for the film, Keep It Move’n performed by Moybrothaz and Rafael performed by Smith & Pyle (Shawnee Smith & Missi Pyle). The limited edition release is now available to order on La-La Land Records’ website, where you can listen to audio clips. My Uncle Rafael directed by Marc Fusco and starring John Michael Higgins, Missi Pyle, Anthony Clark, Vahik Pirhamzei, Rachel Blanchard, Joe Lo Truglio, Carly Chaikin and Ursula Taheria opened in select cities this past weekend.

Four new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the drama Trouble with the Curve directed by Robert Lorenz and starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, Matthew Lillard and Scott Eastwood. The film’s score is written by Academy Award-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring Beltrami’s score digitally earlier this week. A physical version is scheduled to come out on October 16. Also opening wide is the action thriller End of Watch written and directed by David Ayer and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez, America Ferrera, Frank Grillo, David Harbour and Cody Horn. David Sardy (21, Zombieland, Premium Rush) has composed the film’s score. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a number of songs from the film including Public Enemy’s new track Harder Than You Think. ‘Transit’ Soundtrack Released

Pale Blue Records has released a soundtrack album for the crime thriller Transit. The album features the film’s original score written by composer Chris Westlake. The soundtrack was released this past Tuesday and is available digitally on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Transit is directed by Antonio Negret and stars Jim Caviezel, James Frain, Elizabeth Rohm, Harold Parrineau and Sterling Silver. The movie follows a family that is hunted and terrorized by violent bank robbers on a camping trip. Joel Silver is executive producing and Courteney Solomon (An American Haunting) is producing the After Dark Films production.
