Paul Leonard-Morgan Scoring ‘Dredd’

Paul Leonard-Morgan is scoring the upcoming comic book adaptation Dredd. The film is based on the Judge Dredd comic book series about a powerful cop in Mega City One, a city that runs down the entire east coast of America. The movie stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Jason Cope and Domhnall Gleeson. Pete Travis (Vantage Point) directed the film, but it has been reported that the project’s writer Alex Garland (28 Days Later…, Sunshine) has taken over the editing process due to creative differences. Andrew Macdonald (Sunshine, Trainspotting), Allon Reich (Never Let Me Go) are producing the 3D movie with Garland. The comic book has previously been turned into a movie version starring Sylvester Stallone, which was released in 1995 and featured a score by Alan Silvestri. Leonard-Morgan is best known for his score for last year’s surprise box office hit Limitless starring Bradley Cooper.
