John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2, Hocus PocusThe Emperor’s New Groove, The Jungle Book, Liar Liar, The Princess Diaries, Horizon: An American Saga) has teamed up with his son Josh Debney (Santa Clarita Diet, Careful What You Wish ForThe Road Within) to score the new TNT limited series High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam. The show is created by Daniel Stiepleman (On the Basis of Sex, Out of My Mind) & Jonathan Wakeham (To Catch a Killer, Midas Man) inspired by the memoir Debriefing the President by CIA analyst John Nixon and stars Joel Kinnaman, Waleed Zuaiter, Lena Góra, Tom Berenger, Rebecca Night, Paul Ryan, Christopher McDonald, Matt Barr, Dar Salim, Ewan Miller and Talia Balsam. The 8-part political thriller tells the story of Nixon, the first CIA officer to interrogate Saddam Hussein following his capture in December 2003, who is forced to confront the far-reaching consequences of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and the ramifications that would reverberate around the world for decades to come. Alexander Rodnyansky (Loveless, Leviathan), Jason Sarlanis, Sam Linsky, Stuart Manashil (Boy Kills World, Sympathy for the Devil), Michael Kupisk, Tamer Mortada and Leslie Greif (Walker, Texas Ranger, The Offer) are executive producing the AR Content & Big Dreams Entertainment production. Greif (who is also directing) has previously collaborated with John Debney on the miniseries Hatfield & McCoys, Texas Rangers and this year’s The Gray House. High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam will premiere this Sunday, September 13 on TNT.
