Lee Mendelson Film Productions will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1974 animated television special It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown created by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Phil Roman. The album features the premiere release of the complete score from the eleventh Peanuts special composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, A Boy Named Charlie Brown),as well as four bonus tracks from the “Mystery session” and two additional jazz standards recorded around the same time featuring Ron McClure on bass. Allen Stone’s Original Song ‘Home, Where Your Heart Found Me’ from ‘There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy’ Released
Peanuts Worlwide has released the original song Home, Where Your Heart Found Me from the Apple TV animated special Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy . The track produced and performed by Allen Stone is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the song after the jump. There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy is inspired by the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz and stars Riley Vargas, Terry McGurrin, Rob Tinkler, Josephine Nisbett, Kitai O’Garro, Grace Nicolaou-Wood, Lexi Perri, Jo-Hannah Atchison, Athan Giazitzidis and Diego Whalen. The special follows Charlie Brown and Snoopy as they embark on an adventure to find his doghouse after it is accidentally sold at a yard sale.
‘Jazz Impressions of A Boy Named Charlie Brown’ Expanded Edition Album Announced
Craft Recordings has announced an expanded reissue of the album Jazz Impressions of A Boy Named Charlie Brown. The 6th album from jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi was originally recorded for an unreleased Peanuts TV special and includes the first recording of Linus and Lucy. The new expanded edition is released to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Peanuts and features the original album, as well as eleven unreleased outtakes, newly remastered and mixed by Paul Blakemore. Also included are new liner notes by Derrick Bang. The album will be released digitally and as a 2-CD set on April 4. Visit Amazon to pre-order the record in both formats. Christophe Beck Scoring ‘Peanuts’ Movie
Christophe Beck is scoring the upcoming animated feature Peanuts. The film is directed by Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: Continental Draft) is based on the comic strip by Charles M. Schulz and marks the first CGI-animated fiom based on the property and the first feature featuring the characters in 35 years. The movie follows Snoopy who embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best friend Charlie Brown begins his own quest back home. Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) is producing the Blue Sky Studios production with Bryan & Craig Schulz, Cornelius Uliano and Michael J. Travers.
