Lee Mendelson Film Productions will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the 1974 animated television special It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown created by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Phil Roman. The album features the premiere release of the complete score from the eleventh Peanuts special composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, A Boy Named Charlie Brown),as well as four bonus tracks from the “Mystery session” and two additional jazz standards recorded around the same time featuring Ron McClure on bass. The Extended Edition will be released digitally and physically (on CD and vinyl) on August 21. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version.
