Making its linear premiere tonight is the Showtime original series The Agency developed by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth and starring Michael Fassbender, Jodie Turner-Smith, Jeffrey Wright, John Magaro, Andrew Brooke, Katherine Waterston, Harriet Sansom Harris, Alex Reznik, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi, India Fowler and Richard Gere. The show’s original music is composed by Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch (All of Us Strangers, Living, The Forgotten Battle, The Strays, Censor). Click here to learn more about the political thriller, which premiered this past Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.

Also premiering today is the MGM+ limited series Earth Abides developed by Todd Komarnicki based on the classic sci-fi novel by George R. Stewart and starring Alexander Ludwig, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit,Luisa D’Oliveira, Elyse Levesque, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Birkett Turton, Hilary McCormack and Jenna Berman. Adam King (Strays, Kim’s Convenience, Popularity Papers) has composed the show’s original music. FM Le Sieur’s Scores from Emile Gaudreault’s Movies to Be Released

Composer FM Le Sieur (Being Human, Security, Bad Blood, Nitro Rush) will release a compilation soundtrack album featuring his music from the movies directed by Emile Gaudreault. Among the scores featured on the album are Canadian box office hits, such as 2003’s Mambo Italiano, 2009’s Father and Guns (De père en flic) and its 2017 sequel Father and Guns 2 (De père en flic 2), as well as 2001’s Nuit de noces, 2007’s Surviving My Mother, 2011’s Le sens de l’humour, 2014’s Real Lies (Le vrai du faux), 2016’s Père fils thérapie! and last year’s Compulsive Liar (Menteur). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 30 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon.

Premiering tonight is the Syfy original series Nightflyers developed by Jeff Buhler based on George R.R. Martin’s novella and the 1987 film of the same name and starring Eoin Macken, David Ajala, Sam Strike, Maya Eshet, Angus Sampson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Brian F. O’Byrne and Gretchen Mol. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The Path, The Looming Tower, I Origins, The Magicians). Also premiering tonight is Freeform original feature Life-Size 2 directed by Steven K. Tsuchida and starring Tyra Banks, Francia Raisa, Gavin Stenhouse, Shanica Knowles, Hank Chen and Alison Fernandez. Germaine Franco (Tag, Dope, Vida) has composed the film’s original score. Walt Disney Records has released a new version of the song Be a Star (originally written for the first movie, which premiered in 2000) performed by Tyra Banks. FM Le Sieur to Score ‘The Fixer’ Mini-Series

FM Le Sieur has signed on to score the upcoming mini-series The Fixer. The four-hour action thriller is directed by Peter Howitt (Sliding Doors, Johnny English, Laws of Attraction) and stars Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, The Last Ship) and Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210, Murder in the First). The mini-series follows an investigator probing an oil rig disaster, and facing a rival private investigation by a secret tipster. The investigating pair eventually get caught up in a wider scheme by a band of “fixers” to target Washington, D.C., with a catastrophic event whose success hinges on the duo ending up as casualties. Gilles Perreault (Being Human) is producing the project for Muse Entertainment. Irene Litinsky, Michael Prupas, Gene Stein and Christina O’Shea-Daly are executive producing the project. Le Sieur previously scored four seasons of Syfy’s and Muse Entertainment’s Being Human.

The line-up for two film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2013 has been announced. On Thursday, July 18, a number of film directors and composers will participate in the panel The Anatomy of Superhero Film Music: Bringing a Comic Book to Life. Composer Marco Beltrami and director James Mangold (The Wolverine), composer Brian Tyler and director Shane Black (Iron Man 3), composer Matthew Margeson and director Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2), composer Christopher Lennertz (Marvel: Agent Carter) and music supervisor Dave Jordan (The Avengers) will discuss the challenges faced when bringing a comic book character to life and giving that character a voice, working with directors and how they collaborate to convey the story of the character.

‘Being Human’ Soundtrack Announced

A soundtrack album has been announced for the Syfy original series Being Human. The album features selections from the show’s score from seasons 1 & 2 composed by FM Le Sieur. The soundtrack will be released on January 8 on iTunes. Check back for a link to download the album and to check out audio clips in a few days. Being Human based on the BBC series of the same name follows three roommates who struggle to keep their supernatural secrets and resist individual temptations as they strive to live lives that are as near to normal as possible. The show stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington, Mark Pellegrino, Dichen Lachman and Kristen Hager. The second season has just been released on Blu-Ray and DVD and the third season of the series will premiere on January 14 on Syfy. For updates on the series, visit Syfy’s official show website.
