Fil Eisler (aka iZler) has signed on to score the upcoming horror comedy Kitchen Sink. The movie is directed by Robbie Pickering and stars Vanessa Hudgens, Mackenzie Davis, Nicholas Braun, Ed Westwick, Josh Fadem, Joan Cusack, Keegan-Michael Key, Denis Leary, Patton Oswalt, Bob Odenkirk and Ian Roberts. The film follows a pair of teen who form an unlikely alliance with vampires and zombies in order to take on an alien arm. Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) has written the Black List-honored screenplay and Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man, Coldblooded) is producing the project.

iZLER to Score Showtime’s ‘Years of Living Dangerously’
iZLER revealed in a recent interview with Billboard that he will be scoring Showtime’s upcoming environmental documentary series Years of Living Dangerously. The show will explore the effects of climate change in different parts of the world. Film and TV stars including Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Olivia Munn and Ian Somerhalder are participating as first-person narrators on the ground. The series is executive produced by James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub, Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with Emmy-winning producers Joel Bach & David Gelber (60 Minutes), and climate expert Daniel Abbasi.
‘Revenge’ Soundtrack Details
Intrada Records will release a soundtrack album for the ABC hit drama Revenge. The album features selections from the show’s original score from the first two seasons composed by iZLER (Shameless, Natural Selection) who records his music weekly with a live orchestra. Revenge created by Mike Kelley stars Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny and Ashley Madekwe. The second season will also be released this Tuesday on DVD and third season is set to premiere on September 29 and will every Sunday on ABC.
Film Music Panels at Comic-Con 2013 Announced

The line-up for two film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2013 has been announced. On Thursday, July 18, a number of film directors and composers will participate in the panel The Anatomy of Superhero Film Music: Bringing a Comic Book to Life. Composer Marco Beltrami and director James Mangold (The Wolverine), composer Brian Tyler and director Shane Black (Iron Man 3), composer Matthew Margeson and director Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2), composer Christopher Lennertz (Marvel: Agent Carter) and music supervisor Dave Jordan (The Avengers) will discuss the challenges faced when bringing a comic book character to life and giving that character a voice, working with directors and how they collaborate to convey the story of the character.
iZLER Scoring ‘Reckless’ and ‘Boomerang’ Pilots
iZLER has been tapped to score the CBS drama pilot Reckless. The show is created by Dana Stevens (What About Brian, screenwriter of City of Angels & For the Love of the Game) and stars Anna Wood, Cam Gigandet, Shawn Hatosy, Michael Gladis and Adam Rodrigues. The legal drama is set in Charleston, South Carolina and follows a Yankee litigator a Southern City Attorney who struggle to hide their intense attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal. Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Thirteen) directed the pilot episode. Ian Sander and Kim Moses (Ghost Whisperer, Profiler) are executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Stevens.
iZLER to Score ‘Growing Up and Other Lies’
iZLER has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Growing Up and Other Lies. The film is directed by Danny Jacobs and Darren Grodsky and stars Adam Brody, Wyatt Cenac, Amber Tamblyn, Josh Lawson, Lauren Miller and Jacobs himself. The movie follows a 30-year-old man who recruits his three oldest friends to help him retrace their greatest adventure: walking the entire, 260-block length of the island of Manhattan in one day. Nicole Lederman, Katie Mustard and Jason Weiss are producing the project. iZLER has previously scored Jacobs’ and 2008 feature Humboldt County. Growing Up and Other Lies was shot on location in New York City this past fall and is expected to premiere later this year.
Comic-Con 2012 Film Music Panel Roundup
Following our previous report on the film music-related events at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, more film composers have been announced to participate in the Behind the Music with CW3PR: Perfect Sound for TV & Film panel. In addition to the previously announced Trevor Morris, Robert Duncan and Danny Jacob, as well as singers Lisbeth Scott and Laura Dickinson, Marc Shaiman has joined the panel. The composer is coming off co-writing the songs, as well as scoring the first six episodes of the first season of NBC’s Smash, which he also executive produced. Another recent addition is composer/songwriter Michael Penn who recently scored the first season of the new HBO hit comedy Girls created by Lena Dunham and produced by Judd Apatow. The final addition to the panel is iZLER, composer of ABC’s hit drama Revenge.
‘On the Ice’ Soundtrack Announced
A soundtrack album for the indie drama On the Ice has been announced. The release features the original score from the film composed by iZLER (ABC’s hit show Revenge, Natural Selection). The soundtrack is coming out digitally on April 24, 2012 and will be available to download on Amazon. Audio clips from all tracks on the album can be checked out after the jump. On the Ice is written and directed by Andrew Okpeaha MacLean and was shot entirely on location in Barrow, Alaska. The film premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been released earlier this year in select theaters.

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Natural Selection. The album features the original score from the film composed by iZLER (ABC’s Revenge) and Curt Schneider. iZLER received a World Soundtrack Award nomination in the Disocovery of the Year category for his work on the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 24, 2012. Check back on this site for audio clips. Natural Selection is written and directed by Robbie Pickering and stars Rachael Harris, Matt O’Leary and Jon Gries. The comedy premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival (where it won the Audience Award) and also received two Indie Spirit Award nominations.
